NYU ABSN Spring 2019

I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.

This was the hardest thing ever, I couldnt get it to 2500 characters...spent like 2 days cutting content out and I just submitted. Feeling so nervous. Also 2/3 of my letters of rec are on common app and the third one which is the strongest one the recommender is having a tough time uploading it to the common app. What do I do at this point? I did email the admissions but havent gotten a response -_-

Welcome! I agree - it was tough. Don't be too nervous, it is out of your hands and you will know soon. You will always be able to try again if it doesn't go as you hope.

Since it is Friday, you many not hear back until Monday or later. I recommend you have them mail a hard copy to the address listed on the NYU Nursing Admin. page. That is how I sent mine. Also, I am fairly confident you only needed to send two. If your rec. can't make it in, you at least have the 2/2 suggested.

Hey all! Just a heads up for everyone, I received my first email at 10/5 from NYU with conformation that they received my application. Today I got my NYU login information email. I received a log in today, and was able to create a log in account to check my status. Over the phone (1st call) I was told only one of my transcripts had been received, 2nd call they said they had received everything from me. Now I used my created login to check the status of my application and it only shows 1 of 3 transcripts received. So I will be calling again. Seems they're still all over the place with records.

I was able to create a login with no issues, and the email states: "Sign in to the applicant portal. Use the password you created on the NYU Start Page to log in to see your checklist, upload any new materials, request maintenance to your file, and eventually see your admissions decision."

I submitted my application on Sep15 if that helps anyone with timelines. Good luck everyone!

I also received my login information today 10/15. I applied 08/05. It currently says all materials except one transcript has made it.

So I'm having a bit of trouble for my application. My application and all my other documents were received however they're saying that they need my hs transcripts, standardized test scores and college report and I was told I didn't need any of this when I spoke to them. Has anyone else had this issue?

I also received my login info today and I submitted my application on 8/8. Not going to lie, I was a bit confused on how to navigate around the account haha.

I saw that on my application but it says "Waived" next to it, so I am assuming I won't need to upload it since I've been out of hs for quite some time. I would have no idea how to get my hands on those documents.

That's super odd - mine says "waived"; definitely call them.

I got my log in yesterday. The application says they received everything and waived the rest.

I submitted Friday and got the confirmation everything was received and got the log in stuff today.

Same here! Received log in yesterday and most of my documents were uploaded; except one LOR. They said they didn't receive it. I spoke to the writer and she did send it, but she sent within the email, rather than an attachment. Does anyone know if that's the reason why they didn't receive it? Does the letter have to be sent as an attachment? I know they had problems with students sending in the letter themselves, but to prove that she wrote it, my writer send me a copy. Maybe I can forward it to the office? Think they will take it?
