NYU ABSN Spring 2019

I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.

I am 99% certain that you should call to ask about the waiver; you shouldn't have to submit those things.

Hey guys, I still haven't gotten the email with my login. I did get the original one where they said they got my application and that I should be getting my login info soon. I've checked my spam and it's not there either. I'm getting very nervous! Has anyone else not gotten their login yet?

Have you considered calling? Mine arrived two weeks after the initial e-mail. We should be hearing back soon re: decisions; I recommend you call!

When I called them and explained to them what happened they said it should have been waived since I handed all the documents in. But if it's not corrected either they didn't receive the documents or it's because they did receive it and it takes about 2-3 weeks for it to be processed and updated.

I would trust they are updating it. Mine was wrong and then a week later corrected itself.

So now we basically wait for an e-mail stating whether or not we're accepted or it should show up in the status page? I don't see any area that says status pending or anything, just that all my transcripts and letters have been received. I'm not sure how NYU does it or if they even send e-mails if they decline you?

If we are to follow past threads, we can expect to receive a notification that a decision has been made by EMAIL. From there we would check our NYU page and click on a button that would say 'Admission Decision", and that is where the decision would be located. That is how it has been done in the past.

I received my applicant portal information two weeks ago, I have not received another email. Does anyone know when we should know by? My GPA isn't the greatest. 3.2. Trying to be as positive as possible.

No one has yet been informed of their status, rejection or acceptance.

We may hear as early as this Friday or next. Don't worry yet. There have been several students accepted with lower GPAs. They look at the full package, not just your undergrad GPA. Stay positive!

For the 2018 cohort, they were getting answers Friday, 10/27!!! So nervous for this Friday!!!!!!

Yes! It is very possible tomorrow may be the beginning of admissions announcements - just remember that they don't seem to favor neither early decision, nor submission time. Some people may not hear back until late November.

We will all find out soon, so don't lose hope if it is not tommorow!
