NYU ABSN Spring 2019

I was recently admitted into the NYU Second Bachelor's in Nursing Program, but since I have not finished all the pre-requisites thus applied as a non-accelerated student, I won't start the curriculum until Spring 2019, so I've decided to start a thread for that cohort.

Hi guys! I received the email today as well. I also got another email with information on setting up and account to check the application status. However, it's not letting me create my account. Is anyone else having this problem?

To everyone asking about the LOR. I was just at an info session and I told them that I had my recommenders send it to the common app and asked if I still have to send it to NYU. They told me if it is on the common app it is acceptable and you dont need to mail them.

Thanks for the info! One way or another they're getting everything I just want an answer.

I was thinking the same thing. If that's the case I hope to get my e-mail soon.

I wasn't expecting to receive it so quickly after the original email. It has my net ID and university ID along with instructions on activating the account but when I went to set in up I was unable to do so. I plan on calling Monday but was curious to see if anyone received this also.

Hi guys! I also applied for the Spring 2019 semester! I got the email saying that I would receive my login info soon, but still haven't gotten it! I'm so nervous since it seems like some of you have gotten both those emails already!

Really crossing my fingers for getting in here, because I also applied to Pace, but you have to interview there and I'm not great at interviews. Does anyone know if NYU does this as well?

I wouldn't worry too much; if we have learned anything, it is that NYU's system may be a little bit inconsistent. I haven't received it and though I am surely confused, I am not worried. I would imagine those of us that didn't soon will.

NYU does NOT interview.

I agree, I wouldn't worry. Like I said, even though I received the information on creating an account, it is not letting me activate my net ID. I'm wondering if I received by mistake.

Hello everyone

i applied to the PROGRAM FOR SPRING 2019 as well! I have a low GPA However I did pretty good in my pre reqs. (Microbiology and development are in process). My lowest was chemestry. However I sent my letters of recommendation and my resume looks pretty good! I'm super nervous and I'm praying I get IN.... also they recommend we apply to Fafsa before nov 1. Now, I'm so overweight with how much money I might need for like books, uniforms, food, living expenses any body knows if they can help you out. I will need private and plus loans ... please keep me inform I will appreciated so much! Good luck everyone!!

I got the e-mail to set up my account last week. However, on my application checklist, transcripts from both schools I went to say "awaiting" next to them. I've called several times and they say that they have my transcripts..but it worries me that they haven't been checked off! Anybody else have the same problem?

Many of us have had very inconsistent results with NYU via phone. I was told by one person that nothing had been received - nothing at all - and then I talked to another person who received all my TS and LOR. I wouldn't think too much about it.

NYU clearly is struggling with their admissions admin and their office is partially run by student workers who genuinely may not know how the system works, have had no hand in uploading information, or aren't kept abreast of NYU's timeline as it relates to review.

Most of us don't have a log in, so we can't quite relate or check in re: the issue.
