Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!

I sent mines using BMCC institution to institution so electronically and Berkeley was a paper copy. But both were requested via the school I attended at a cost (about $15)

I am also trying to send transcripts from BMCC and can only see the option to send a paper copy...can you explain how you were able to do so electronically?
Also - to confirm, are we able to submit the application without Common App having received the official transcripts?

Use your CUNY login, choose student center, from the top left menu choose request official transcript. It will prompt you to another page where you can continue the process. After selecting your school (BMCC) it will allow you to either send a paper copy or a PDF file.
And yes, at least I submitted mine without the official transcripts. There is a "check my application" that lets you see where you are and what's missing.

Thank you for your help! I don't know why it still isn't giving me the option to send a PDF transcript, but I opted to send my transcripts directly to NYU instead of through Common App and that allowed me to send PDFs.
I'm so nervous to submit my application as the transcript status still says "not received". To those who sent PDF transcripts, how long after you submitted the application did it take to update the status to "received"?

You can email NYU admissions about that. Because it may not update on the common app, but they’ll still see you have everything on their side. One of my LOR writers couldn’t get the link for the common app so they had said for her to email them the letter. And they told me on the common app side, it wouldnt show as received but I should still submit the application. So I believe it would be the same for transcripts! Just email them to let them know and im sure it’ll still be fine.

Did you guys submit your application without the transcripts having updated as being received?

Yes, I have emailed them and they confirmed.
Also, did you guys fill out the experiences section from the Common Application? I thought it would be too repetitive since we are already submitting our resume?

I ordered mine through the common app but they only did paper copies. One of my schools sent it in like a week and nyu notified me that they received it but my other school was delayed and it was making me nervous so I ordered a pdf copy from my school and had it sent directly to nyu instead of the common app.
