Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!

Hi! Once you start the common app, there's a transcript section. They have links to the major transcripting services so you'll look for your past colleges to see which one services that school. Or if your college does not use those services, in the common app you can search for your college and order directly from your school. All of this is in the common app transcript section- its very easy to just follow the steps.
I had to order from 3 schools. The 2 that used servicing companies, once NYU got them, I received confirmation from the servicing companies that they were "retrieved" by nyu. It hasn't updated in the common app though, I figure someone from nyu will probably go into my application and update at some point. For the 1 college where it the transcript was serviced by the school, I only got an email from that college saying it was sent to nyu.
I did all my transcripts via electronic method. In a week or so, if my common app still shows as "not received", I will call or email nyu to confirm they got them.
Hope that helps! Just start your common app application and go through the steps it tells you (it saves along the way, you can go back into it anytime, add and remove stuff, up until you submit it).

No, they don't interview. Read through the FAQs page:

Did you guys submit your application without the transcripts having updated as being received?
I submitted my application without the common app updating my transcript status as "received". I will email NYU this week to confirm. I know they got them though, the transcript servicing companies sent me an email when NYU had retrieved them.

Im new to this thread. Has anyone been accepted having C’s for pre recs? I have a 3.46 over all and C in developmental psych, chem, and anatomy! But A’s in everything else.
I’m kind of worried this is going to hurt me!
You might want to check the Spring 2021 thread or Fall 2020 thread! Since those people are already in school.
Hi everyone,
Re: transcript statuses in the Common App
I called NYU today to ask when the Common App would show my transcripts as "received". (I had ordered mine through the Common App) They said that it will not update in the Common App, that NYU has no way of updating in there.
I submitted my application yesterday. Today I received an email acknowledging that my application was received- and that I would be getting a NYU login soon. Once I get that login, the transcript status would be all updated in the NYU site. The person on the phone confirmed this as well.
Hope that helps!
Hi everyone! I hope your applications are running smoothly. ?
I am graduating with a BS in Biology this Spring 2021. My current GPA is a 3.51. I was pre-pharmacy for most of my undergrad experience before I decided I wanted to pursue nursing.
Prereqs:

A/P2- A
Microbiology - B-
Stat - A
Psyc - A
Nutrition - A
Chem - A-
I'm so anxious to hear back about the decision! It sucks that the decision could come out as late as June knowing that other schools only allow a few weeks to decide. I'm wondering if you guys have heard back from other schools and what you'll do if you have to accept somewhere else before the NYU decision comes out.

Good luck!!
I was accepted to Pace and had to pay the tuition deposit to hold my place even though I’m still waiting to hear back from other schools. Pace only gave a week to put a deposit down so I had no choice ?
