NYU ABSN Fall 2020

Hi everyone! I applied to NYU Rory Myers College of Nursing- 2nd degree program via the common app for the Fall 2020 semester.

I wanted to create a thread for everyone else that is also applying so that we can help each other through this process!!

I wonder if these school closing, will affect our nursing decisions....

I hope not! They DID update my checklist today so they're still looking at stuff...

I'm just worried now because my school is now closed and going to remote learning and I'm taking micro, so unsure if now it counts as an online class and won't be allowed for a pre-req....

do you guys think it makes a different that I uploaded my resume and dint write each thing in the expeirence part of common app? also where do you put the personal statment and reccomenders on common app its not coming up

I uploaded my resume then put the highlights I thought they'd care most about in the experience part of the app. The personal statement is under Program Materials -> Questions. Recommenders are under Program Materials -> Recommendations.

Did anyone get an acceptance letter somewhere else and when is the deadline to commit to that school? I wonder when NYU will start sending out decisions

how many experiences did you guys list on common app? I have 4, but my resume has like 7. was wondering if I should piut everything...does clubs from college count?

I got accepted to Pace and College of Mount Saint Vincent. Pace gave me 2 weeks and CMSV until May 1st. Let’s see about NYU...

According to previous threads, it will vary between around the first - second week of April until June. Some people got lucky and heard back as soon as the second week of April but some people who submitted way before the priority deadline heard back as late as the last week of May. I really don't understand how the applications get viewed but they seem to not care whether you have deadlines for other schools. Many people called but was told the decision could not be sped up because they have an acceptance deadline for other schools. Basically implying if you choose other schools it almost makes it easier for them to just add someone else. It sucks for a lot of people considering NYU as their first choice and it is one of the few colleges who accept as late as June.

Hi all!!

I received an acceptance letter earlier today and I was just wondering if anyone else has? I was looking at other schools but NYU is only giving us 2 weeks to make a decision after receiving admission and I definitely won't hear back from the other schools before then. Not sure what to do because of the crazy tuition costs
