Published

Hi everyone! I applied to NYU Rory Myers College of Nursing- 2nd degree program via the common app for the Fall 2020 semester.

I wanted to create a thread for everyone else that is also applying so that we can help each other through this process!!

Hi all!!

I received an acceptance letter earlier today and I was just wondering if anyone else has? I was looking at other schools but NYU is only giving us 2 weeks to make a decision after receiving admission and I definitely won't hear back from the other schools before then. Not sure what to do because of the crazy tuition costs

Congratulations!!

thank you! I felt like the decision was pretty early.. they probably want to get it out of way with all of the coronavirus stuff going on

First off, congratulations!! Second, how do you see your admission’s status? I see where they’ve received my transcripts and all, but how do I see if my application’s decision is pending?

Thank you! I got an email saying there was an important update and it took me straight to the application portal and the acceptance letter was in there. It no longer says that they received my transcripts and stuff

Congratulations! That is so exciting to be heading back already. Can I ask when you submitted your application?

Thank you!! I submitted it on January 29th, but I had an issue with transcripts so they only got them about a week ago.

Did anyone else have their checklist disappear about a week ago and still not hear anything back? Thanks!

Hopefully this week?

There's another NYU thread on here and this happened to a handful of us....hopefully we hear soon!

Do you think they will accept more applicants this year? Since we need more nurses?

There's news that nyu med school will give an option to let their students graduate early so they can help with the situation

Thank you! I submitted by deposit for NYU because I won't be hearing back from my other schools until May/June unfortunately.. Rochester is my other top school and its a shorter program and a little bit cheaper so I'm not sure what to do if I get in there.

Oops sorry I forgot to answer the first part of your question. I believe NYU already takes a significant amount of students, like 80-100 for the accelerated program (compared to my other schools), but it's also because they probably get so many applications.
