Hello all,
I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)
Hi all,I recently was admitted in to the ABSN program as a non-accelerated student for Fall 2018. I am starting a full time job in June at NYU Langone - which is awesome because of the tuition reimbursement (up to 9 credits per semester!!) , which I desperately need. Do you guys know of people that did the program and worked full time, and did so successfully? Although I am scared my grades will suffer, is it worth if it I forego the tuition reimbursement and go in over 100k of debt?... Any advice or thoughts on my dilemma?
Thanks!
Well, I have a friend who is currently in the ABSN at NYU and I was having the same dilemma because I need to work as well while in the program, but he said that this program is intensive and does take up most, if not, ALL of your time. However, I will not be working anymore if I do get accepted into NYU (which I have no heard back and I applied before the priority). So I would assume you would have to not start the new job and focus on the program if you really want to succeed! But either way, good luck!
Anybody else doing research on private student loans want to connect? The financial aid department at NYU is not allowed to really advise regarding private loans, though they do offer this list of lenders: Financial Aid and Scholarships
