NYU ABSN Fall 2018

Published

Hello all,

I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)

I mean I got accepted to NYU non-accelerated program

I was going by what I saw on the website. Your right it's in regards to first year students. Still looking on here seems there is a lot of people applying to the non accelerated track. I hope to hear back soon I applied on 3/08/2018.

I thought with the program one could not work full-time. The curriculum is about 18 credits a semester and has clinicals 7:30-3:30. When I looked at the classes offered it seems like we would have to be on campus 4days a week

Thanks!! I appreciate you believing in me!! I hope we both get in!!

how could you get tuition reimbursement if you're in the ABSN program, which is full time? you will have to quit your job to attend the ABSN program.

You will have to quit all other activities in order to attend the ABSN program, therefore I don't believe you are even eligible for tuition reimbursement, even if you work at NYU

Hi all! I just got my acceptance yesterday for the Fall 2018 ABSN

Hi all! I just got my acceptance yesterday for the Fall 2018 ABSN

Do you mind sharing your stats?

Congratulations by the way !

Anyone hear back today?

Hi all,

I recently was admitted in to the ABSN program as a non-accelerated student for Fall 2018. I am starting a full time job in June at NYU Langone - which is awesome because of the tuition reimbursement (up to 9 credits per semester!!) , which I desperately need. Do you guys know of people that did the program and worked full time, and did so successfully? Although I am scared my grades will suffer, is it worth if it I forego the tuition reimbursement and go in over 100k of debt?... Any advice or thoughts on my dilemma?

Thanks!

Well, I have a friend who is currently in the ABSN at NYU and I was having the same dilemma because I need to work as well while in the program, but he said that this program is intensive and does take up most, if not, ALL of your time. However, I will not be working anymore if I do get accepted into NYU (which I have no heard back and I applied before the priority). So I would assume you would have to not start the new job and focus on the program if you really want to succeed! But either way, good luck!

Anybody else doing research on private student loans want to connect? The financial aid department at NYU is not allowed to really advise regarding private loans, though they do offer this list of lenders: Financial Aid and Scholarships
