NYU ABSN Fall 2018

Published

Hello all,

I decided to start a thread for the NYU accelerated nursing program since I have not seen one for fall 2018:)

Anyone hear today?

Anyone hear today?

Nothing yet

Nothing at all!

Still nothing.....the wait is agonizing.

Hey guys, I am so worried about the cost of education. For those of you who applied and was accepted, were you guys able to receive financial aid?

Also, do you think 100K is worth it? I really want to attend NYU, and because I don't have any debt from my undergraduate, I am considering just taking out a private loan yet, I am still worried that I won't be able to pay it off.... is anyone in same situation?

Hey Everyone! I'm late to this forum, but I also got accepted to NYU! Reading from the past comments here are my stats. Got the acceptance email on 4/17, I sent in my ABSN application on 2/28. My undergrad gpa is 3.8. My pre-req gpa is 4.0. I have medical experience as a medical assistant in general surgery office, along with shadowing an NP in family medicine, and shadowing as well as having hands on experience with RNs in emergency departments. Sent in two recommendations: one from an NP and my Nutrition online course professor from Stony Brook. NYU was the only school I applied to (since I'm live in NY). I think I covered the basics. Congratulations to my fellow classmates who got an acceptance letter. I can't wait to meet my fellow classmates for Fall 2018. And for everyone else the waiting game is brutal, but hang in there! Good Luck! :)

BTW: Is there a FB page set up for Fall 2018 acceptances? :)

Congrats on getting accepted! There is a Facebook page: Log into Facebook | Facebook

For those who were accepted, if you don't mind me asking, what letter does your last name start with? I have a theory on how review/decisions are made that I wanna check out..

My sister was saying that since it's on a rolling basis, it's possible that there are designated people with designated letters of last name and however fast they get through it can determine when we hear back etc

If it's like that , then that can explain why I haven't heard anything lol , my last name begins with a T

It seems like it would make sense because some people who applied regular heard back before some who did priority. So I think it might be on some system like that
