NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Published

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

what school do you go to? and whats your major?

as long as we have everything in and everything is good then im happy. my best friends are getting annoying with me being on edge but its so hard not to be when everything id depending on whether you get in or not.

the transition from high school to college is not the same as college to college. this is our career now. we are finally starting our lives.

Hey everyone,

I tried doing a search for this, but didn't get anywhere... Is there a clear-cut advantage for those who submitted their application by the priority deadline vs regular deadline (e.g. a reserved number of spots for priority applicants)?

Thanks a bunch! I'm looking to submit an application within the next couple of weeks.

I know one advantage is finding out the decision earlier.

Also, they are not limited to how many to accept. Meaning they can fill in all the seats. Whereas, the ones who sent everything in after march 1 will have to hope there are seats left.

Update: So far I have a check mark next to my application fee, high school transcript, standardized test scores, and college transcripts.

I graduated from Hunter College and received a BA in Psychology. What about you ?

@helwafufu, i checked with the NYUCN admissions folks by email quite a while back. since this is a template kind of form for items to be received, they include everything that would also be applicable to the traditional applicants. These should already be checked off, and those of use with an undergrad already, these are not applicable (ie not submitting these).

oops, forgot to include that the NYUCN admissions folks said in an email that the supplemental documentation (i.e. letters of recommendation, personal statement, etc) will not be posted to the ALBERT site page where the other status items are listed (even if they have received them). best bet if you're concerned is to call.

Hi everyone! I also applied for ABSN Fall 2013 and have a little news...I asked an advisor at NYU the question about what the difference between priority deadline and final deadline and these are the exact words, "We do not differentiate between priority and final deadlines for 2nd degree students". To me this states that there is no priority consideration being done? Anyone else have thoughts?

Sounds to me that the adviser is referring to them not differentiating between the applicants and nonetheless using the same criteria for acceptance ? I do not think they would have priority deadlines available for no apparent reason.......

Yeah after re-reading the statement. I think its between the criteria of acceptance...
