Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

Hi,
I went in person and submitted all the documentation needed by beginning of February. Idk I have a tendency of not trusting the post offcie for important documents . Best of luck!

they should have it. that is so weird. which number are you calling? and what are you asking for?
when you call, ask if you can check your status for your Accelerated Nursing Program. They need to know what you have applied for in order to direct you to the right person to check your status.

I turned in my documents last week for the priority March 1 deadline. I was told to expect to hear on or around March 15. Best of luck!

I'm so confused, I've heard so many different things about when we will hear back... from April to May. Does anyone have an answer that they are certain of?

I'm pretty sure we start hearing after April 1st, so April 15th seems more accurate.
From looking at the previous forums I noticed that priority deadline applicants began finding out after April 5 th.

arakhmin, I had to send my letters of rec 3 times! I kept checking with the school and they kept telling me they had not received them. I finally faxed them a copy of one. It took them about 5 weeks before they finally told me they had multiple copies of the same letter. I also have a hyphenated last name which I think caused some issues. They kept places some of my items in a separate file. I would just call and double check. If they still have not received it and you don't live close enough to bring the letters in person, have whoever wrote your letter fax it in. Hope that helps.
Hey there all, like everyone else has mentioned, definitely make sure you check with NYUCN admissions people about letters of recommendations received. I just got word that one LOR sent back in first half of January 2013 has not been received, and now I'm impatiently trying to get a hold of the professor who emailed the text of the letter and acknowledging he sent to NYUCN. Uggghhhh.....freaking out a tiny bit, since this LOR a really great one. NYUCN did mention they'd allow signed copy faxed or email. That's a good thing.
As advised I just called NYU to inquire about my LOR's and was informed that all of my letters were received.
They did receive all 4 of my letters.[i did not want to risk a professor not mailing one out etc therefore I asked 4 of them to be done.] The rep informed me that they do only ask for 1-2 and all will not be read. I asked her if there is an order of preference and she told me that they usually read whichever they see first.

--Any thoughts on timing of LOR receipt as it relates to your "date-in-by" for consideration as priority versus regular deadline. I know that the NYUCN website says: "Applications will not be considered for admission until all required documents (including letters of recommendation and official college transcripts) are submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions," If one LOR was received prior to priority 3/1/13 and the other after but before regular 4/1/13, would you think that you've technically met the priority deadline?
