Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?
For those of you who have been admitted- The acceptance email indicated that our financial aid package would be updated within 3 days, but seeing as they don't seem to stick to their own deadlines, I was curious how long it actually took to see your financial aid results?
The financial aid package information will not be sent unless you actually accept your offer. It should come after that. If the email does not come to your nyu email address timely, one place you might look is the home.nyu.edu. in the student center in ALBERT. you have to log in, then click on academics and click albert login, the student center. if they have financial aid package for you, there will be a section with links on financial aid, there.
For the people who has been accepted and has received their finacial aid package, How good is it? Does it help a lot with tuition and related expenses? I am asking this because I read bad things about last year's financial aid packages and I was wondering if it's the same thing this year. For example there was someone who said that He/she got $2500 on scholarships only and the rest she would have to get it from federal loans and private loans. BTW the EFC for this person was in the low range. Please share.

I've already checked Albert. Still nothing. I might need to call someone to ask
Finally got through to financial aid and they said it would take about a week and a half to two weeks to get the decision once our admission offer was made. I find a couple of things about this very surprising: 1) Why does the admissions letter say "If you applied for financial aid and you qualify, your financial aid award will be available within the next three business days via your NYUHome account and Albert" and then 2) Give you only 3 weeks to accept when you will only be aware of your financial aid decision for the last week of that time... I can't imagine I'm the only person who needs financial aid to justify the high cost of NYU...
