NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

It seems like there is very little rhyme or reason to how they have choosen to go about notifying any of us about admissions decisions, or who they even accept for that matter. It's frustrating to be on the waiting side of things, but I guess there is really nothing that can be done about that...

mine? 3.4 Undergrad, 4.0 pre-reqs so far- finishing up Anatomy I and Developmental Psych now and then Nutrition and Microbiology over the summer. I volunteered in an ER in New Orleans for a full year, and I now work at a non-profit in NYC. I focused on how those two experiences shaped my decision to go back to nursing school in my Personal Statement. Applied Feb 25th, still haven't heard back.

I don't think it matters when you applied? I applied like 1 week before the deadline of March 1 and received my acceptance April 9.

Yeah I don't think priority made that much of a difference...Still waiting here as well. Did anyone receive financial aid yet? I wanted to see if they actually offer money?

Did anyone get word on orientation or what we need to get or fill out for the program?

I applied back in October and haven't heard anything until today. I got an email with questions about my pre-reqs and what is in progress. I'm wondering if that's a good thing or bad thing that they've waited this long to even look at my application.

Financial aid info comes a few weeks after your acceptance e-mail. I am still waiting for it.....

sigh....... I do not know what they are looking for. i also did the same. I tried to focus on my strong points.

I am still waiting for additional informaiton as well....financial aid, orientation, advising, health requirements, etc....

I did, however, get an email about setting up my NYU email address though. I wonder if after setting up your NYU email address, the additional information will start rolling in to the official channel of communications.....
