Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?
3.25 undergrad at stony brook withe health science major and 4.0 pre reqs. I've worked as a pca for 18 months doing pretty much everything a nurse does except give meds chart and put IV's in. So idk what to tell people still waiting because I thought I was a sure shot.
WOW. Geez, you're pretty stellar on paper. I'm so sorry you didn't make it.
If you don't mind me asking, where are you PCA-ing and what sort of qualifications did you have to get to do it (eg: CNA license, etc)? I'm thinking about trying to do that as well--thanks!
Wow... my level of confidence just dropped down. My undergrad GPA is 3.1, pre reqs 3.9 and I have 5 years working as a laboratory technician doing Arthritis Research. I have volunteered at HSS in the Ambulatory Surgery department for a few months and Biology major and a collegiate athlete. Well, I guess I just need to keep waiting
Whaever answer I am getting I feel they are prolonging it!
for those accepted, did the box in albert "admission offer" immediately show up? or take some time?
It either took some time or it took me a few tries before I saw it. It's right below the header "application status" above the paragraph stating the admissions office is processing the application
I have my Cna but north shore manhasset Didn't require it and they train you in phlebotomy and ekgs. They might be on a hiring freeze right now. I know all other hospitals require the Cna so getting that 1st is prob your best bet. I paid $1000 for it at Franklin career in Hempstead.
Thanks, getting on that now!
