NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

It really is... I can't believe they don't send them all out at once. I'm having anxiety over this and can't do anything but check my email it's obsessive lol. Seems like torture to me.

Mairayhans... You applied to pace too right? Which will you chose if accepted to both and why. I really would like to go straight thru and get my masters but I can't at nyu.

Pace is my first option btw I chose the 2 year program. Tuition is almost half compared to NYU. Also, it will be easier to transition into the Masters Program and If I go to Pace, 50 credits compared to 64 at NYU, it will allow me to work at least a few hours a week something that will be very hard to do with NYU. The downside of Pace is that they will kick you out of the program if you go below a 77% in any of the undergrad courses and 80% for the grad courses (I will need to double check about the grad courses I am not 100% sure) and NYU I believe will give you another chance to retake the course. Both NYu and Pace have an excellent reputacion. Most Magnet hospitals hiring new grads prefers to hire people graduating from NYU, Pace, LIU and Hunter (I spoke to the nurse recruiter from a magnet hospital here in NYC). Because of economic reasons and becuse I would love to keep my job at least part time I am choosing Pace over NYU. But at this point, I am willing to go to any .... if only one of them chooses me ... fingers crossed!

I have an anatomy exam today and i really cant focus. This is torture in many ways. I do want to hear from them asap but i want to hear good news.

What is the tuition for pace and nyu because I thought they were around the same

I don't think they will tell that... I also applied in November...still waiting...

Idk you could try calling and see what time emails are sent out I called earlier and she implied that they would be sent out today but idk because yesterday everyone got them at 9am which is making me lose hope for today.

I just found this thread. I applied in November, I just called today. They said they won't be sending more admissions notices out until April 15. I don't know how true that is because everyone seems to be saying different things. Just thought I would share what I heard. Good luck everyone.

I just called and the guy said that they will be sent out randomly within the next two weeks. I asked him if he can check if a decision has even been made and he said he can't access that information. and your right, once 9 am passed, I also lost hope.

I'm also confused to why people who applied before January haven't heard back anything yet many who applied on Feb have heard their decision

Lets keep our hopes up !

Me too.. I lose hope for today too.. I called yesterday and they told me the same thing, the lady said they are sending out emails everyday without a specific time...and asked me to wait for another 2 weeks...I think maybe they are sending out the batches mostly on Tuesday and Thursday? This is the case for the Spring 2013 class though. I was checking their thread and found it.
