Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

I think they were on probation around 2020 don't they have multiple locations? Plus I don't see their name on flbon I think those people didn't pass their NCLEX around then. I think they were still sending people out for the board even in 2022

I went to a cuny school

Probably the last set didn't do well and they finally terminated the program..... but I saw on fl BON they terminated in 2020 so after 2020 no one should've sat for boards if you didn't graduate in 2020 so that's probably why people having a hard time getting licenses. Because if you check fl BON it says pn not RN

@Gators they would start the program with 24 students by the end of the program they would have only 8, 11 ,10 he would keep most of the students out by the first semester

Wow really? How long does school investigations last? What is the process? This will great know how long the wait will be until license is finally given.

unfortuantley I can't answer the question on the how long an investiation can last me I don't personally have a hand in that review process or decison making.  I am apart of the people who actually get and process the infromation given for an application.  I can only speculate like you guys on what can take so long. when you are on the bottom of line you are not given much infromation we are simply told school under review don't make anyone who graduated from that school no matter when elgible for NCLEX of licensed until further notice. so while it may seem like you aren't get ting much information when you call in is because we aren't given and real infromation to give out

My friend used to speak highly of carleen hope she's clean that would be such a shame

Thanks for the info

So @starr2022 why is the BON, the fbi, the board of education not acknowledging that this was an ACTUAL school that scammed students rather than making it seem like a place to shop for transcripts. The story in the media and on this forum is not true for a LOT of the students from the school. If anything the students are victims and should get some sympathy instead of the constant bashing and embarrassment. People have lost money and time and are currently going through depression from this lengthy case of scam which was selfishly purported by owners of the school.

Thank you for this info. I actually sat for boards and passed. My school wasn't on the list but it is a Florida school. When I called to find out why I didn't have name posted, they told me that my school was under investigation. I graduated back in 2020 but passed three boards 1/11.

Exactly what I was telling a friend of mine the other day the fact they are protecting those hospitals by not releasing the name of those nurses they should have done the same for the schools because a lot of those nurses gonna have a hard getting a job I'm talking about the ones who actually went not the scammers

Wow so I wonder if everyone in now being penalized in fl if you recently just passed...did you test in ny?

Don't know if this will affect the lpns who did their lpn to RN at these schools and registered for the boards.
