NVCC Spring 2018 Hybrid Program

Hey all! Starting a thread for those applying to NVCC (Northern Virginia Com Coll) for the spring nursing program! This is my second time applying - tried for last Spring but didn't make it - my grades are a mix of mostly B's and some A's and I got 87.5, 80 and 90 on my TEAS sections. I really wish they'd let us use LORs or at least consider work experience.And I'm so glad they raised the TEAS requirements back to 78 - I heard that threw everything off for last year and that's why so many people applied. I also heard that they are accepting more people overall this year, so fingers crossed!!!

I got the same "passing your app along" email on Oct 12th. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they aren't shafting the hybrid cohort like that. Last year when I applied they took 65 so if they only take 25 this year....I feel like I can't win with this place. What are your guys' plan b?

Come on Inamra.. Views are views. I have probably viewed this thread like 95 times or more. Besides, last time around, they took some people with less scores for reasons no one could explain. Maybe a mistake, but my point is it is never over until it is over!

They posted the MEC Orientation Date on Facebook just now. January 5th 8am-12pm. Might mean they're getting ready to make an announcement.

Also, there are about 20 users on this thread, and we know they're taking fewer than 30. 25 if what my friend is true. Given last years info. I'd assume the pool is at least 100 to 200 people.

Hi Inamra, I got the email that says that your application will be forwarded to the nursing division by the end of next week. I hope Nova takes more than 25 students! Best of luck for all of you!
