Hi Everyone!
I really wanted to begin a thread about NVCC's traditional Nursing Program to begin in Fall 2015 (Applications are due May 21 2015). I would like that everybody share her/his experience applying to this program while waiting for the acceptance letters..... and good luck everyone.
PS: i am waiting for my application being processed notification email.
Did anybody receive this notification yet? please let me know :)
Thanks
Yusuke1990,
Great catches! You are correct regarding question #41. My approach was, indeed, incorrect. Looking at the problem #41 again more logically, the answer of 3/4 does not make sense.
I've revised my worksheet (removed the erroneous one from Dropbox) and put it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cln8ru3f94tuvw0/Solution%20for%20math%20problem%2041.pdf?dl=0
I double-checked by working the problem again and converting the 1/200 to the decimal form of 0.005 and achieved the answer of 0.0000333, which is equivalent to 1/30,000.
Thanks again for pointing out the discrepancy!

Hello Djasper, and thank you for your time today.
It has been a while since I studied Algebra, and then running into that problem, which I knew was correct yet then was incorrect using the "answer sheet," gave me serious frustrations. I even emailed the nursing department about it.
See you guys all at the Orientation. :)
You guys, the government website is like the vast dendrites of the PNS, so use this link to study for your HIPAA certification.

Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools and Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.
For everyone in the NVCC program, here is a word of encouragement. In 2010, I was where you are. I graduated with honors in 2012, quickly got a job with the Medical Team, and then 6 months later, was easily hired by Inova. Today, I am a charge nurse at Inova, making $80K this year. The NOVA program provides a wonderful grounding, has a superb reputation, and in my opinion, easily leads to a good job. Work hard, follow the NOVA program rules, get good grades, and you should be all set.
Hi and thank you for posting about this. Personally, I have heard from many, ADNs are basically unemployable and MUST get their BSNs in order to get a job. I am not one to really give into gossip, especially when it appears to be very mean spirited in nature. I really want my BSN and have been investigating both UVA and GW. I have a BS in another field. As I understand things, both universities will employ ADNs while they pursue their BSN. This would be an optimal situation for me. Congratulations on your success and I wish you much more!

I knew it. This is totally weird.
Even their roman numerals is wrong. 95 is listed as VC, yet according to Roman numeral subtraction rules, 95 should be XCV.
Basic of basics is 2x=4, thus x = 2,
So, If I do it 150x = 1/100,
then 1/100 divided by 150 equals 1/15000.
THIS IS SERIOUSLY FRUSTRATING. I'm going to scrutinize this review sheet again.
