I haven't seen a thread for this yet and there has been one for just about every semester at MEC, so I decided to make one.
I'm currently studying for the TEAS and I've printed out the Fall 2018 application to work on but there are some very confusing elements (and possibly typos?) on it so I plan on asking on Monday. Since they changed nearly everything from previous years I feel like they made some mistakes (possibly).
Is anyone else a little confused? For instance, they tell you not to get a background check until notified to do so, but the complete checklist on the application they give you instructs you to initial that you've completed the background check.
I went today and they could locate my high school transcript hidden under my evaluated bachelor degree. they simply don't read. all I have to do is redoing the TEAS and re-apply.
Sorry to barge in but when I asked about submitting my official high school transcript, I was instructed to have it sent to the MEC campus. Student services. Assistant dean is the one who told me to submit that way. If it is opened it is no longer "official" that is what she told me. I don't know
I do believe most schools have a way to send it official online but I'm not sure how it's done. I had mine in a sealed envelope already so did it that way
You can send it with the application, it's in one of the boxes to check off, I was instructed that it wasn't official if opened as well (not by the college, by the high school), but I just scanned it and sent it anyway and my application was moved on to the next round. I mean, they're gonna "open" it anyways but since they don't do mail submissions anymore, then oh well
I included one in my online application as well but was told to mail the official. I read about obtaining an official electronically, so I know it's possible I just don't know the process. The dean told me I had to mail the sealed copy so I did.
I'm not sure about it. I went there last week. she asked me to redo the reading section and reapply. I asked why they have extended the deadline she said that they are looking for more applicants.
Hahahahaha... Does cohort 1 mean that they are taking you? Careful! Don't raise your hope too high. They will get back to you when they feel like. That is the situation you are in. Let us all hope this happens mid May.
I feel like everyone is getting their hopes up with this extended deadline. How can they go from having 200 to 400 applicants and never enough spots, to now not enough applicants? Has anyone been able to find out how many spots they have for the Fall? Surely they have an idea by now?
