NVCC MEC nursing fall '17

Hi all,

i submitted my app for the fall nursing program a week and a half ago so I figured I'd start a forum for all the NVCC MEC nursing applicants to communicate with each other while we anxiously wait for our faith. If anyone in the program or have graduated from the program would like to give some advice, please do!

I sent mine in about a week before the deadline, so that makes sense I recieved mine later. Someone in this forum said they called them about not receiving the confirmation email yet and then they got minutes after. I'm assuming they sent out all the conrdimatipn letters if they are sending acceptances starting tomorrow

I'm so nervous, I never got a processed application e-mail. Should I call? I know I might not get in, but this is making me anxious.

I think you should call! I do want to say that I don't think you should be nervous about not getting the email. I don't think that they're going to send out acceptances without sending a processing email to every single applicant. But calling might do what it did for me, which is made them send me the processing email haha.

I would call if I were in your shoes as well. I've received multiple "processing" emails. I submitted my application the last week before the submission period closed. They also let you know if you're missing any portion of the application which could prevent you from being ranked. If that is your situation, given the lack of and accurate timetable, it could make a difference if anything has gone missing. Plus it can't hurt, so why worry?

Im praying june 2nd means they will send em out tomorow because I can't deal. I literally feel like rapunzle when she leaves the tower.

Fingers totally crossed! Does anyone know around what time they usually send these emails out?

Lord knows ive checked my email 80000 times this morning. LOL I believe people started posting around 230pm last year. Fingers crossed it's today!

But some people in this forum said they haven't gotten the confirmation email yet, and I got mine just 2 days ago!! I hope they send the acceptances out all at once Instead of scattered like they did for the confirmation emails. Everyone's anxiety level would be at an all time high

From what i see it was scattered in previous years yoo.

They are manually sending each email with i assume theres some sort of ranking process. They have to put student Id and all that per email. I think it's based on acceptance of spots and all that too and as people decline for whatever reason more spots open? They also have a waitlist. Don't white me though I really have no idea haha

I didn't realize they used a waitlist. I wish they were posting more about updates.

Yeah last year they had sent out an email to everyone on the day they sent out acceptances saying that they would be sending out the acceptances that day, and then an hour later they sent out the acceptances. It's a weird system. I really don't think we're going to get our acceptances without at least one facebook post updating us about it, but I could be wrong! It would just be so weird for them to have so much last year (weekly updates, a facebook live Q&A regarding the admissions process, and a video that explained the admissions process) all in the month of June and not make a single post about it this year. I'm pretty sure they will be updating when they have news!

Well it's my understanding they don't have a waitlist. After they fill every spot with confirmations from applicants then they send out a group generic denial letter to the remaining applicants.

I just called Student Services... We are NOT getting acceptances today. She said to not even expect it within the next 10 days and that it would be after. She also said that they probably weren't going to be updating the FB page and would really only communicate to us through email. She asked me for my name at the very end of the conversation which was weird but I'm pretty sure that she was going to check to see if I had been sent a processing email or not. Who knows! But we're definitely not going to receive it today and more than likely not next week either.
