Nvcc hybrid october 2016 (jan 2017 start)

Published

Hi!! This is for anyone applying for NVCC's hybrid nursing program starting in January 2017! Just curious on how much more competitive the hybrid nursing is compared to the traditional?

Thanks!!

I got the receipt in the mail as well but keep checking my email to see if I got an email from them, nothing yet. Let me know if you get something! I hope there arent 400 applicants this time around!

Hi all, I recognize a couple of your names from the spring 2016 application thread. I wasn't accepted into the spring traditional program either, and I have applied to the hybrid one. I haven't had time to retake my TEAS, but I am taking BIO 141 (previously finished NAS 161 and 162 with B's in both) in hopes of finishing with an A this time. That way if I don't get accepted into the hybrid either, I'll reapply to the spring tradtitional program again with more competitive grades. Anyway, I have yet to hear anything back about my application either. I'm assuming a lot of people applied again. I'm not getting my hopes up this time though. I'm already preparing for if I don't get accepted. I'm really hoping I do though. I've taken all the other classes and finished with A's, my only B's are the two sciences. My scores are so so in math and english for TEAS. Scored in the 80's for reading. But good luck to all of you! I hope we are all accepted. Post here if you hear anything about your application!

The only email I've gotten from them was an email saying that it was being processed and nothing was missing from my packet, which I'm praying is a good sign.

When did you get the confirmation email ido729?? Also did you send it in earlier or later in the application window? Just curious because I sent mine in the last week

I never got an email saying that. Now im nervous... When did u send your application?

I have not gotten an email either. I applied to the Fall 2016 program and I feel like the sent emails out over 3 days saying that applications were received. I am hoping that is the case this time around. I am super nervous though. I saw someone had said something about 400 people applying and 200 being qualified, does anyone know if that was in regards to they Jan 2017 start, or was it in reference to the Fall 2016 start, because that was about what we had apply then. Also what is qualified, like just meaning you meet the minimum requirements, or qualified as in being competitive. Other than my TEAs score in grammar (70.8%:yuck:) I feel semi confidant with my other scores and grades, but am worried that will pull me down.

Hi,

I sent my app in early September, got a call a week ago about missing self-assessment report, sent it to them, received an e-mail saying that they got my repot, and my application will be proceed within next 3 weeks. I haven't heard from them since then. Did anybody got any e-mails yet? Do they send an e-mail if your application get denied?

I got my confirmation email 10/24 and mailed my app out on the first day we were allowed to (8/22?). From what I've read/heard, they're supposed to send both acceptance and rejection emails/letters. I've done most of the co-req's, my gpa is decent, and I'm retaking BIO141 this semester for a better grade juuuuust in case lol. I really wish their process was setup a bit differently...like interviews, personal letters/statements, letters of req, or even take into account current work experience. This has been a bit frustrating for me mostly because I work a full-time job and do classes so I feel like my grades suffer somewhat from that.

I'm going to the open house tomorrow, so hopefully I can find out some info on how many people applied and how many spots they're looking to fill! I've seen on here before that they used to accept everyone that was eligible and I'm really hoping that the case this time around.

Still no "being processed" email :-(

Anyone else on the same boat?

I have not gotten on either. I think I will call NOVA on Monday or Tuesday if I still have not heard anything

No email over here yet either. I'm assuming they are still going through applications. Hopefully we will hear by Wednesday.

How was open house? Heard anything?
