Hi,
I just need some insight from all of you...I am planning to apply for nursing at NVCC for fall 2016. I have finished all my prerequisites and general requirement with the gpa of 3.7 but my teas score is on the lower side. I still have two chances to take it again but the student services have told me that since I passed I can't take it again. Is it true? If I were to take it again, will the nursing team take my highest score for consideration? Any help will be appreciated! 😊
I hope we all get in too. Hopefully they will send acceptance letters soon.
I hope so as well! Since they've said that they would be done processing applications by the end of this week, I'm hoping that we will get a decision by late next week or during the 2nd to last week of the month. Hoping this waiting period doesn't get dragged out for too much longer.
In the past yes - everyone who was qualified was accepted. However, since they lowered the teas score many more people are applying.
This is the first year since they've lowered the minimum TEAS passing score, correct? Your reasoning makes a lot of sense as to why there were so many applicants this year if that is the case.
I can see why there are alot of applicants. But I heard they care more about the grades of the pre req. That's why I am not worrying about my TEAS score. They were very low but my pre req were majority A and two Bs. So we will see. Most likely we get approval letter in two weeks. But its long time!
I am still waiting to hear from NOVA that my application was received. Is anyone else still waiting? My husband mailed the application for me, and did not realize certified mail met he had to keep the tracking number, so I am not even sure if my application had been signed for from someone at NOVA.
