I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

hello, pinoyRNako! as agp_ph has said, it takes about 2 mos. thing is, retrog starts at oct, and our 8 wks ends in oct too! i guess that makes us cliffhangers. anyway, let's keep praying. to God be the glory!
me too, my interview date might be arranged on October. it is hard to say whether retrogression will come right in that month. NVC just say a cut-off date should be establish on October for Schedule-A. but do you think the actually retrogess cut-off date will be on November ?
Hi lifehouse.....is it really true that there will be another retrogression?...I have been very busy lately and I was surprised to have read that there will be another retrogression on october....I thought the US senate or somebody( not really sure) has removed the visa cap this year, meaning there would be unlimited (I don't know about this) number of visas...or am I talking about two entirely different things...could somebody enlighten me about this matter? I'm concerned because my sister's lawyer is only just about to pass her papers to INS...
hello ann80! yep there'll be another one this year. it's already posted in the august 2006 visa bulletin, as someone has said here. it says:
F. SCHEDULE A VISA AVAILABILITY DURING FY-2007
A total of 50,000 numbers were provided for use in the Schedule A (EX) visa category which was established last May. Visa demand in this category is approaching that limit, and may require the establishment of a cut-off date as early as October. Once all 50,000 numbers have been made available under the current limitation, processing under this category will end. http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_2978.html
the schedule A visas are recaptured visas specially allotted for nurses and pts, which is only 50k in all and is fast depleting. if your sister is already in the US, she should file immediately for AOS, i think, hehe i dont understand it too hot either. but if she's outside the US, she'll be affected by this year's retrog for sure. it's still ok to file, though, it's just that somewhere her papers wont progress until new visa nos. become available again.

Hi kurt2006!
I just want to ask if how did you know that your case was sent to consulate last August 1, 2006? I mean where did you inquire your status, may i know? So that I can ask also about my status. Mine, was completed last June 28, 2006 and until now i'ts the same response I got when I inquire NVC thru phone. Probably this week, the new appoinment sched or interview sched will be out for the september interview date.
Thanks in advance and Gud day!

Just a little tip who are about to leave already the Philippines already. Not everyone knows that immigrants can actually withdraw your contributions plus interest from Pag-Ibig Fund. You juts need to fill-up forms and photocopy of your immigrant visa. this is a substancial amount specially if you've worked for a long time already.
for more info, check this link:http://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/sp_provident.htm
You may also download the forms from this website.
