NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Date of entry in the US :???

God bless!

so far, we're doing well, my friend.

i asked my wife about your query, she's got a roommate whose sons are coming to the US in a month. and she heard that her roommate will indeed register (or have to register) her sons to that agency. she heard that they've got some college benefits too.

so i guess, it's a must-requirement. i'm sorry, am not too knowledgable about this thing.

otherwise, take care of your SSN, or nothing will be done without this (opening a bank account, applying for a state id and/or driver's license, etc.). don't worry about your green card. once you enter the US, the processing is automatically triggered once you present your visa packet to the immigration officer in the airport.

oh, and one suggestion for those who are carrying their ultra-sized, mega-humongous x-ray results from st. luke...

if you have a CARRY-ON that can fit the xray (mid-size luggage, messenger bag), do it, stuff it inside your luggage. that's what i did. just make sure the xray is protected, or won't bend or develop creases. it's a hassle to be lounging with it in and around the airport. the immigration officer never asked for my wife's or mine. just make sure it's easily accesible in case the officer asks for it.

how on earth am i going to carry that film!! it will definitely not fit in my hand carried luggage! those of you who already left, how did u carry it??:uhoh3:

Thanks crumvy..

After returning my choice of agent to NVC how long before I would recieve my P3 bill?

Thanks again. Goodluck..

Crumvy,

My friend who is in the US called NVC and the operator told him that my papers are still in process and would still take a couple of weeks to get an interview sched. He will try calling again next week and hope for an update.

Good luck to us.

Hi Donty8,

NVC will not process any visa application unless it is paid.If you do not have any dependents and your agency will pay for your Visa fee, maybe they have taken care of that already? better if you inquire with them.In my case I had to send them a cheque for the Visa fee of my dependent before they sent me the DS230 forms which you have to sign and have to be returned to NVC.

My agency sent me the bill after 4 weeks from approval of my case at USCIS.

You can also browse in this topic the time others recieved theirs. There are alot who posted the timelines of their whole immigration process.

Good luck to us!:roll :icon_hug:

hi vgsrn

Thank you for answering my question. By the way can i ask if what state are applying for?

vgsrn,

It's good to hear that your paper is being process already. Hope that my papers will be processed too. The NVC is quite faster with their processing right now. My officemate sent her packet 3 last april and she was scheduled to be interview this 12th of july. good for her...

Hi Crumby!!!!

i have read your latest post saying that your friend who had sent his packet 3 to the NVC last April 3 is scheduled to have his interview on july 12 this year. I sent my packet 3 last may 15th and was completed last june 5 but has no interview sked yet. I hope i'd also get an interview sked soon... goodluck to all of us!!

to crumvy,

Yep yep we'll have our turn, and based on the earlier threads here it seems NVC processes the visas much faster than the first quarter of the year.Hopefully they wont slow down in our batch.

Donty8,

I'll be going to NJ, what about you?:specs:

Let's continue to pray, thats all we can do for now

hi everyone, just finished with my medical, here's my nerve wracking experience!

day 1

3am-we arrived at st luke's, we are #6,7, if you are planning to check in a hotel, i advise you to arrive on the night before the medical, we had a hard time finding a room that would fit our budget hehehe, we waited until 6am to check in because all of them are fully booked. prices range at 1thou to 2thou, that's a room with aircon.

5am-tha guard let us in,you have to fill up a form, make sure u know ur port of entry, estimated departure, the address of a relative in the states and ur address(i listed my employer's address)

6:30am-we were called to have our picture taken, then line up at the reception where u'l present your form, pasport and ur picture(make sure u have written ur name at the back),after that ul be asked to go to 5th floor to pay they only accept pesos here, make sure u have lots of them)

7am-since im the first to arrive, i was the first one to b xrayed, make sure u know ur last day of menstruation, or else u'l b asked to go to the lab to have a pregnancy test

7:30-done wid my xray, i was asked to go to 5th floor to have my vitals

8am-me and my kid was done with our vitals and eye test(dis 1's only for me since my kid is 2y/old only). i was asked to go to the lab for hiv testing and ua

9am-done wid my lab, i was instructed again to go 2 5th floor to physical exam and immunization interview.

930-i was lined up for my pe, tha doctor asked lots of questions, just say no to all, den, she asked me to disrobe, u have to completely disrobe even ur socks, don't wori they have gowns there, she asked me to show my back to her,lie down, auscultated my heart, palpated my abdomen, do the lithotomy position, while she's at my foot, she instructed me to seperate my gluteal folds(how embarassing!!!)and that's it,as for my kid she asked the same questions and i disrobed him and in 30 secs, he's done!

10am-we waited for our immunization interview, as for me it was very quick, but 4 my baby, they really check ur baby book, now here comes a problem,my baby's mmrhas no doctor's signature, but it has a date, i was asked to get a certification dat my baby received his mmr,and i should bring it on the 2nd day, after the interview, i was asked to go to the check out counter, and they told me 2 come back on tomorow, how releived i was:balloons:, when we got to our hotel room, i was drained and starving!!! but i still have to go my hometown to get my baby's certificarion!!:angryfire

day 2

6am- the guard instructed me to go to 2nd floor, drop ur receipt at the box, then i waited till 8am(that's their opening time), after dropping ur receipts u can go outside and have ur breakfast but make sure to be back by 8am

8am-i heard my baby's name and i got interviewed again about my baby's immunization(make sure u have ur baby book wid u,because they double check) i was asked about the mmr certification, and asked 2 wait for our name to be called

830am-my name was called, i was immunized wd mmr, it was not very painful;). they told me to wait at the releasing section 4 my name to be called, i didn't go there immidiately, i waited until my baby got immunized, he received 4 shots, get ready to restrain ur babies, tha nurse will not help u restrain, they are very unfriendly, and cold

9am-my name was called at the releasing section, get ready with 2 visa photos with ur name at the back, they gave me my xray and immunization record, i'm finished, but my babywas not so i have to wait 4 his name to be called, ur baby should be with you because they will ask for the baby's thumbmark

11am-finally, my baby's name was called, and after 5 mins we're finished, at last:balloons::monkeydance:. you should treat yourself after your medicals, because your done with a very tiring, draining, expensive, and if i may add embarassing experience...hehehe. by the way, bring lots of candies and some crackers,(they don't check bags, just be discreet when ur eating).because you wouldn't dare be out of the building in case your name was called.:nono:

vgsrn,

I'll be going to NY. Yes we should just continue on praying. by the way yesterday was the feast day of the sacred heart.
