NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

Hi pretty.

Can you share to us your medical and interview date?

Dont worry much on same date of your medical and interview. In almost all cases, medical must be done first, days or a week prior to the interview.

Godbless and goodluck

Thanks again but sad to say I'm still in limbo because as of today, I have not received the official letter/appointment letter yet to think that "schedule" will be soon already so I'm really wondering if the visa appointment schedule is reliable or what.BTW, I have noticed that the medical exam and interview date is the same.

Dunno what to do...any suggestions please...Thank you..

Just wait for the official letter coming from NVC. Update your agency/lawyer on NVC's reply to you so that they can anticipate that letter. There is at least a 1-2 weeks lag for the snail mail to reach their recipients.

I have been in touch with my future employer in the US and they say my offer will stand as long as it takes they admit they may not look to make offers to foreign nurses at the moment but the offers already made will stand in there words my job is theyre for me how ever long it takes and lets not forget the economic downturn is a global situation not just an American situation.

Unfortunately, your employer is not being very truthful with you. It is not just having a job offer that is current for you, but they will need to provide documentation to the US federal government that they are still unable to fill that position with an American at this time. Quite a few facilities are having lay-offs or hiring freezes at this time, and therefore this would also effect you. If they cannot hire an American at this time, then no employer will be able to bring over a foreign nurse that needs petitioning. Job offer letters are just that, they are offers. Actual hiring date does not go into effect until the nurse is physically in the US and starts work, the hiring date is the first date of actual work.

Things have gone from bad to worse in the last two weeks or so, have never seen it this bad in my lifetime.

Also not sure where your employer is, but certain states can expect not to see any foreign nurses arrive there for quite sometime, especially if the unions are strong there.

Are we required to prepare another set of documents for our interview? I havent received my Packet 4 yet, as it is still with my lawyer in US. She also requested me another set of documents as well as another job offer letter from my employer. Do we need to again prepare for all those papers?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Depends on when the documents where first put together but generally everything needs to be up to date. No good having a letter dated 12 months ago as things do change. Usually NVC will request stuff again and remember it being annually if your PD was coming up

pretty neirelle,

If you got the date of med exam and embassy interview from the Manila US embassy website by using your Case Number then that information is 100%reliable.

Don't worry that the date of the med exam and interview are the same. Mine was also like that. The important date is the embassy interview. You can have the med exam date re-scheduled easily by calling St. Lukes. Have it re-sked by 2 to 3 weeks prior to date of interview so you will have extra time if ever delays will crop up.

Let's assume that your med exam comes and still no letter of appointment. It is still not a problem. Simply print the page from the embassy website of your date of appointment and that is what you will show to the guard at St. Lukes to let you in. Once inside, inform the people of St. Lukes that you have not received your appointment letter and they will print one for you.

If you want verification to what I have written here, you can personally call St. Lukes and ask them about it. Their telephone numbers are available at the website of the Manila US embassy.

Allez,

If you already have a date for consular interview, why is your lawyer asking for another set of documents? How did you find out about your date of interview?

Packet 4 is not a physical packet that needs to be completed, it is the 4th step in the process and is essentially the medicals and the interview with the US Embassy. There is nothing that an attorney will send to you called Packet 4.

There always needs to be an updated job offer letter from the employer that is submitted before the actual interview; this is nothing new. The age of the other documentation will determine what else needs to be updated. Best always to check directly with your attorney on this as they are the ones that are handling your file and know the specifics about your case, or at least should.

Okey..thanks everybody...

I have some news for you guys...I checked my case number on immigrant visa appointment today out of curiosity and to my surprise I have my schedule on it..

I phoned my agency and told me they have not received my appointment letter yet..

Any opinion guys?

thanks.

Hi pretty neirelle...if I'm not mistaken, your PD is Jan 2005 right? ( I am assuming it is after January 1, 2005 right?). This is good news because eventhough the October VB is Jan 1, 2005 they are still scheduling PD's after January 2005 for interview.:yeah: Hopefully VB will move forward on November.

Helo AGP PH

I assume the PD of Pretty is not later than January1 2005.

Are you from Philippines too? May I know the status of your case? Whait is your PD and when was the latest date that NVC again declared you as documentarily qualified?

@ Pretty:

Good Luck in your interview. Break a leg!!!

PD August 2005

PD August 2005

Hi Nightingale's idol. I believe pretty neirelle's pd is Jan 2005 based on her post last Aug. 2007(see post #1939). Hope pretty neirelle can verify this again if she visits this forum.

My PD is November 2005 and I was declared documentarily qualified for the third time last May 14, 2008.

so does it mean that we will give up our american dream right now? that's so sad because we are waiting for how many years just to get that visa. spent a lot of money and hardworks to passed all the required exams. the joy on passing that exams are gone.. so sad for the nurses like me who are aiming to go there.. it is better to look the brighter side of this world like going to another countries... i am hopeless and broke when i read this message but i think this is the reality.. hope it will be over soon!

god speed to american dreamers!:banghead::yeah::scrying:
