I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details

Anna is quite correct, it has already been posted in the Visa Bulletins that everything is on hold until the new fiscal year starts, which is October 1. The Visa Bulletin will be out in mid-September, so do not expect anything until then as there are no visas available at this time.
Just because a file is complete, if there is no visa, then nothing is going to be done.
August 2008 VB
"Demand for numbers will result in the Employment Third preference Other Worker category reaching the annual FY-2008 numerical limit. As a result, this category will become "unavailable" beginning in August and will remain so for the remainder of FY-2008. Such action will only be temporary, however, and the Employment Third preference Other Worker cut-off date will return to 01JAN03 in October, the first month of the new fiscal year."
- Just like what im expecting, the cut-off date is more likely unavailable unless we have here who's is PD is in 2002...
It does not matter even if the date is 2002, the issue is that there are no more visas left for the remainder of this fiscal year, and the new one does not start until October 1.
You will not see anything being done before then. No changes are going to be made, nor any interviews being scheduled in most cases.
There is no Schedule A at this time, all are under the EB-3 for nursing. And there are no more visas so no movement until the October Bulletin that comes out in September. But do be aware that we do not know how they are handling all of the AOS petitions from last summer, nor the AOS petitions that are still pending just prior to October, 2006; there are quite a few that are still waiting from that time frame as well. And they are still part of the quotient when they determine how visa numbers are going to be assigned.
hello... i'm into a situation now wherein i need to make a wise decision. There is this agency that is offering me to work in CAnada. They prioritize me since I got an nclex and Ielts exam already and i can use this documents in canada as an LPN. I really would like to go out of this country (phils) the soonest possible time. My PD in NVC is MArch 23, 2006, the last PD that the NVC was processing was March1,2006... I am really confused since I would like to go to USA also.. What willI do? Do you think it is a wise decision to work in canada? or just wait for ages for my visa to arrive. What will happend to my documents in NVC if my interview date will come and i'm still in canada?
How does your employer in the US regard a move to Canada? You will have some cancellation fee either in Canada or the US if you sign with both. Also to work as PN in Canada you need to pass the Canadian exam the same as someone from the US moving to Canada has to, you have to be licensed in the province to be able to work as a nurse. If in Canada and your date becomes current and you can not move then employer is at liberty to cancel employment which will result in loosing your PD and starting all over again
