I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Yes, really confusing. last year my lawywer said that NVC is asking everyone to update their file. I gave NBI, ds230, copy of passport and passport size photos and my case got completed. Now, I read from other post that they needed 2x2 photos, some say just colored photo with white background.
And the DS-230 back then was still with the one with the 7/31/2007 expiration on it as well right?
I monitored the DOS' website regarding the availability of the new DS-230 forms but I'm quite sure that the new DS-230 forms (saying 9/30/2010 expiration date) was not available yet until Jan. 2008 and all Ds-230 forms given for the whole of 2007 are all with the 7/31/2007 exp. date. I do not know if any of you guys noticed that last year.

Exactly, last year I was very hesitant to download the same ds230 since it will also expire 2007. I remember posting it here also. I was thinking that they probably want to make things done before reaching to consulates and another is that it could be that there asking new form since it has been a year ago they are checking if your case is not yet abandoned like what you mentioned like others who opt for another country than having assigned a visa number to them and forwarding it to their respective consulates and not appearing on their interview dates. I might be wrong, just my opinion
Came across to one forum. Pd of Aug 2005 is being asked of her agency photos for updates to NVC. What I don't know if her agency already received the request or they are just getting ready... Though looking back last year... Request letter was printed June 4,2007 and my lawyer received the request on June 20,2007. I will contact my lawyer tom for updates. Well I hope he answers!... Lawyers kinda moody, sometimes he answers nicely and sometimes he's so silent....
My friend's pd is now current too (nov 06). she was asked by our lawyer to submit a new ds230 forms and photos. I do not know if our lawyer has already received the request from nvc. I'll ask her with regards to this matter, then I'll update you....I agree, lawyers are sometimes moody, but they should be nice because they are paid, hehehehhe....
I found 2 cases with pd's Nov 2005 and August 2005 already scheduled for interview June 3 and 4 respectively.

FYI: Cases mentioned above are those files that were already at the embassy since 2005. btw, they found out about their interview through visa appointment list at the US embassy website.
we called nvc. they r behind schedule and r trying to get all the ltrs
out in the upcoming weeks.
so i guess nvc has not mailed the requests to our lawyers yet...

thanks for the update. i guess its a case to case basis since some already received their request, the best thing maybe is to call nvc directly. i still don't have news from my lawyer, though my docs are already prepared when the request arrives.

what documents did you prepare? did u get another set of NBI clearance? updated DS230? I called up the NVC's automated response system and it says "The lawyer will receive a letter within the next 90 days" so i dont know. New request of DS230 and NBI clearance perhaps? Same as what i did from the last time?

hi ...got the same message from the automated response system..WHAT DOES THAT MEAN .???
My agency told me to prepare another set of documents (updated NBI,police clearance,birth and marriage cert,passport pictures with blue background,diploma and transcript) .
