I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
:cheers:We should wait for the VB to come out. Hopefully it is good news. As per the post of some who received email from NVC, some with PD of April 2006 start moving so April 2006 is covered. Haven't heard of anyone with a date later than April 2006 that had receive such email. My lawyer went to NVC last June 5 to submit my daughter's IV fee bill, when he inquire about my case he was told to that they will get back to him after 10 -15 days, by that time VB already come out and they have a clearer picture of what date is going to be processed. Positively speaking I myself is hoping that PD for Philippines will move forward, since most of EB3 from Philippines are nurses and most of them who filed before June 2005 got there visa already when 50,000 was set aside for nurses during the first retro. This is the reason that June VB jump for two years. I am expecting it to jump again if not 1 year at least till May 2006.. My PD is March 2006 and hoping that July VB will bring us GOOD NEWS...
Hi MUTYa, We're on the same boat, my PD is also March 2006. I think the VB for this month wont move forward upto our PD. I think it will just move forward for months (3-6 months i think). But, lets just hope and pray for the best; prayer can move mountains...aite?

We dont know yet, it may or it may not move till our PD. Im still hoping for the PD to be able to accomodate us. I am still sticking to my guess of May 2006 for July VB. There is no point of those April PD to be moving if the VB will not be beyond that date. In May, NVC receive less applications for GC thats why they move June VB for 2 years. If the application for GC in June is less than what they are expected the VB will move again to a certain date. Please bear in mind that schedule A was created May 2005 to clear the backlog and run out last october 2006. Thats 50K extra visas for nurses, if we take into considerations that most of the applicants for GC from Philippines majority are nurses then we have a very good chance.

Just to clear up a few misconceptions that you have. The 50,000 visas that you are talking about did not go to 50,000 nurses. Their dependents were included in that count, so it comes out to less than 20,000 that actually got visas from that number if you look closely at what was posted about it in the past.
And there are probably more than that waiting now from the Philippines, and those 50,000 were not just for those from the Philippines, but from all over the world. The Philippines does not get preferential treatment over other countries.
Hello to everyone!
Just want ask some help regarding my case. My PD is June 2006. About a week ago, I asked my agency if they already paid the visa fee bill and if I already have a NVC case number. They told me that they have not done that yet since my PD is not yet being processed. Are they telling me the truth or is there something fishy going on here?
Thanks!

they could be telling the truth as there has been talk on here of NVC not accepting DS230 and waiting for visas to be released and then requesting fee and DS230.

The issue is based more on when your petition got approved. Have you in fact had approval of the I-140? You need that before anything else can be done. Last June and things were being processed. Looks more like they do not have an actual approval for you as of yet. Has nothing to do with that date being processed, it was current when the petition was submitted. If the I-140 has not been approved, there will not even be a bill to be paid. Do you in fact know for sure that you have an approval? The PD does not mean anything in terms of approval or anything else.
and a cautionary warning just to make sure that all of you are aware of this:
it is a violation of the us immigration service to have more than one i-140 in process at the same time. to do so and they become aware of it, automatically cancels out all of the petitions and puts you back to square one.
please be very aware of this. this is something that is not taken lightly by them or the agencies/employers that are involved after they have invested money and time on you.
not a good thing. so please be very aware of this if you are planning on shopping agencies and job offers. it does turn to bite you if caught at it.
What I posted above is a general announcement, but there are several here that this has become an issue with. There are already issues for some of you trying to get hired by a facility, and when I hear that this has been done, it gets me quite upset. And I am sure others as well.
When you sign a contract, you are expected to live up to your obligations with that contract. You should not be shopping for other offers once you havre signed. The time to do your shopping is before a contract that is a legal binding document is signed.
And then some wonder why they cannot find placement. Those before you that have done things like this make it harder for you. This should not be something that should be accepted by any of you. If you are going to sign with a second agency, then make sure that the first agency was notified and they cancel that petition. Or you may never get to the US.
hello!! its nice to be back!! its almost been a year since i last posted a message here. for those of you still waiting for visas, good luck. i know exactly how it feels to keep on waiting for it.. just be patient. your time will come soon. i wonder if peanut_rn or nurse_dependent is still following this thread. neways, good luck to all of you.
So glad to hear from you. It definitely has been a long time away from here for you.
Nice to have you back.
(Nurse_Dependent was around a couple of months ago, have not seen Peanut_RN in quite some time. Probably not since you posted last. Once anyone gets over to the US, we usually do not hear from them for sometime. They are very busy getting settled and there is so much to learn. I am sure that you are quite aware of this.
