I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Yup, I called up the NVC many times. I followed the instructions given (like press number one for english language, press number eight if you want to hear the message again), but after following the instructions, the automated phone system says (we cannot understand.......). I called them for more than 10 times but same response. Would you mind telling me how you made the call?...you check this website,http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment, then you enter your priority number/case number issued by the NVC. Then, you will know wether you are scheduled for embassy interview or not....Yes let us pray together that we will get our interview slot soon. By the way, what is your priority date?
Hi Moroe77. Sorry for the late reply. i tried checking if there's an interview schedule for me already but there's none yet. You know we should keep updating each other...we're almost on the same step already. Let me know if you have received any further intructions already and will do the same.:balloons:

I called up NVC awhile ago to inquire about my case and was surprised to find out that my case was already transferred to the EB3 category. The automated machine stated that visa numbers are not yet available for me and that they are currently processing applications received on or before July 1, 2002 for the EB3 category and that may case will remain at the nvc until visa numbers are available. does anyone here have the same case as mine? i guess the schedule a visas are all used up already. i just hope and pray that the retrogression won't last long. any comments will be appreciated. god bless!

Possible because visa nos. have been used up already although there's no announcement yet from december visa bulletin. Another thing is that your PD is 23/2/06. The retrogressed date started on 01 Oct 05. They process those who applied on or before that date. Don't worry, hoping that new visas will soon be added.
hi gracie08 sorry to hear that but mine was also like yours at NVC. i emailed NVC last 4 days ago and they received my checklist november 3 they told me that the expected processing time to completely review my documents is 2-4 weeks. maybe after they completely reviewed my documents they will transfer my case to EB3 category like yours..just keep our faith and pray to God that everything will be alright..dont lose hope..by the way please click this link and read this article. i read it and found it helpfull for us nurses.:yeahthat:

this is the highlight of section 505 of SKIL BILL:
*Section 505 would exempt nurses and other Schedule A occupations from the cap on green cards until 2017. A provision has also been included that would require the US Department of Health and Human Services to issue a report on the nursing shortage in the US and include information on the foreign nurse population in the US as well as an assessment of the impact of nursing immigration on the supply of nurses in the countries the nurses are leaving.*

Sorry, but the SKIL Bill has not been approved yet by both the House of Representatives and the Senate. So it is not in line to be signed by the President.

All visas for nurses are under the EB-3 classification, the Schedule A is just a special section under that. Nothing needs to get transferred as it is already where it needs to be.
Thank you Suzanne, Lawrence, Rep and everyone who shared their experiences. We got our immigrant visas and are leaving for the US in a couple of weeks.
Thank you Suzanne for everything. Your generous heart has helped a lot of nurses all over the world... and I for one, benefited a lot from your advices. How can I thank you enough for all your replies (through pms) when I was going crazy over the filling up of the DS230 form!!!!! Thank you so much.
Lawrence, thank you for always being the sound of reason... especially during times when topics become too hot to handle. =)
Rep, I took to heart all your tips and insights... even printed your experiences in 2005 just so I could learn from them... well I couldn't have passed the medicals and the interview with flying colors without your invaluable help! Thank you so much.
