Nursing Textbooks--- help

Hey everyone, I am currently looking for textbooks online... and i found some good deals on some of them. However, for most of them the one that i need is "2008 second edition"... but the one i found online for a reasonable price (still expensive.. lol) is the "2007 second edition".

Do you guys think I could buy the 2007 one, and it would be okay? They cant possibly change that many things in the textbook that would affect my nursing education... and the second edition part matches up.

I am probably going to call the nursing program just to double check, but i would like to know what you guys think and if anyone else has had this same issue while textbook shopping...:-)

Thanks a bunch...:loveya:

There really is no way of knowing. Things change so quickly, especially in the medical field.

Often times there will be new figures, pictures and just updated info. Also, having a different edition will mean the page numbers will not match up with what the prof. and the rest of the class has. Not a huge deal, but still an annoyance.

I have found that sometimes the publication year listed by instructor does not match the publication year of the actual book. However, the main thing is that the edition match. A way to verify if you have the correct book is to compare the ISBN from the professor with what you find online. Good luck.

I used to believe that I had to have the exact edition the teacher wanted and bought them. I have students in my class with previous editions and have no complaints whatsoever. I would have saved money!
