Like Yasmine, I also have a paper to write that deals with the decision to become a nurse. If the great nurses who have already responde to Yasmine don't mind my contacting one of them I would appreciate it. My paper isn't due for a month or so so I am just starting to formulate my questions.

Specializes in Med-Surg, , Home health, Education.

I would also be willing to help if needed

Thank you leslie and here are the questions if you can still help.

Interview a registered nurse regarding their professional path.

a. What is your educational background?

b. What have your employment settings been and in what time periods (i.e. 1980s)?

c. What do they feel are the positive and negative aspects of your profession?

d. What are the challenges you have found in the health care system/workplace/nursing profession? What are the rewards you have encountered?

e. How have you seen nursing change over the course of their career? (i.e. during a nursing shortage or during staffing changes in hospitals)

f. Would you choose nursing as your career today? why or why not?
