Even if you can find an online program you still need to go to a central site for testing and clinicals. How are you going to manage that?
And congrats on the new additions!!

Yea it would be tough to handle school and keep up with it, especially after having triplets. Congrats tho, maybe you can find a trusty day care and follow your dreams of becoming a LPN.

hi, parkergirl19!
here is a link that has some online lpn (vocational nursing) schools listed on it with links to their sites.
http://www.medicaltrainingdirectory.com/medical_school_guide/guideid/173.htm - how to become a lpn along with a list of some online programs you can contact about lpn training.
my brother's sister-in-law had triplets 20 years ago, so they are all grown now and one just got married. however, for the early years they needed a lot of help from relatives just to take care of all these kids who all need the same things at the same time. all i can say is good luck. you really might want to hold off on going to nursing school until the kids are in school themselves. but, good luck to you.
welcome to allnurses! :welcome:

WOW, triplets. What a blessing and a burden all in one. I've got twins and a single 23 months apart (6,6,4) and it was pretty rough on me until about a year and a half ago (when I finally got a full 6 hours of uninterupted sleep). HOWEVER, if you a support system in place to help you out, school can be done. I actually was enrolled in a pre-req class while pregnant with my youngest.....gave birth on Thursday and was back in class on Tuesday. But the only way I was able to even consider doing that was because my mother was living with me (while husband was deployed to Iraq for the year).
It may seem overwhelming right now (it was for me), but even if you can't do it RIGHT NOW, there will be a time for you to do it, if that is what you want.
Congratulations on your new additions to the family and I wish for you lots of patience and loads of energy- cause your going to need it when they start walking:uhoh21: :uhoh21:

You might have to wait until their more self-sufficient before starting school. I didn't go to nursing school until my kids were grown, and I didn't even have triplets. But I had no help AT ALL from anyone, not even my husband. There was no way I could have gone to school when they were little.
It's the sacrifices you have to make in life. Some people can have it all. I've never been able to figure out how to do that, so I've been left with making difficult choices throughout life. Take time and enjoy your babies. There will be lots of time for school. They're only babies once.

Congrats!!! I am surprised you even had time to join us and type a letter!! I have twins (20 now) and used to beling to a multiples club and we had a couple triplet moms, but did not see them unless we went to them. We all knew ho difficult it can be with two, nevermind three!
I think at the very least you can prepare by taking needed courses online that are needed. Then when the time comes your class and clinical time will be at a minimum and the kids will be a little older.
Whatever you do, blessings to you and your wonderful brood!
