Anyone ever considered getting a nursing school pen pal? I know this term is very 1990 but I think it would be a good learning experience and also an extra support system. The oppurtunity to share your test scores, your struggles, your clinical experiences and see how someone else is handling nursing school sounds so awesome to me! I'd love to hear your stories! Aww thats such a nice story!

I'd be interested but I'm all the way in Canada, thats probably a minus in terms of having a penpal. Although, if your up for it give me a shout! Have you just started Nursing school?

Just found this post and I am so excited!!! I would love to have a nursing school pen pal. I start school on Jan 10 and I thought i was overly anxious when I first got my acceptance letter....But boy it's really starting to hit me now. I don't have my orientation until Jan 6, so I'm feeling a little unprepared :uhoh21:.

Just an idea-

You can find an RN in your specialty after you graduate and

compare the experiences in your field. I had a pen pal in the UK

years ago and it was neat to see how our jobs compared

across the Pond.

So have fun and thought I would let you know it can continue past

the student years.

I am definitely interested. However I'm just starting my pre reqs: Anatomy 1 for winter term (6 weeks m-th for four hours), would be cool to have a pre nursing student pen pal.:)

I have 3 nursing penpals! I love getting an idea on how other schools tend to operate (since I'm pretty nosy lol). But It's definately good to have someone whoo understands and who you can vent with!

I am very interested in having a penpal. I just missed passing Med/Surg 3 by 5 points. I was supposed to graduate in May of 2011, but now have to wait another year. I would love to talk about school and other things because my husband couldn't give a care less about what I'm talking about. He absolutely does not understand what it is like to be a parent while going to nursing school! Just PM me!

Aww, this is a fun idea!

I start "upper division" (nursing school) classes next month, and I'll graduate August 2012 with a BSN, so I'd love o be able to talk to somebody going through something similar! :)
