Nursing school with newborn?

I just have one more class to apply to nursing school that I am planning to take this summer in June however I will be due in July so I won't even get to apply to schools because I will have my baby by then. I know there have been ladies who have gone to nursing school with a newborn but is that really a good choice or should I wait. I don't want to wait of course, (fear of me never going back) and I REALLY want to get this done. I know it's possible and I know it will be veryy difficult but I really just want to hear opinions and/or experiences of other ladies who have gone through this.

Hi! Congrats on your little one on the way :-) I was very pregnant when I was applying to schools, almost ready to pop when attended nursing school orientation and my daughter was barely 3 months old when I began school. Thankfully I didn't have to works and in-laws helped watching the baby when I was in school. It was definitely tough but I did it! Just graduated this December :-) my munchkin is now 2 and 3 months and loves playing with my stethoscope! So it's definitely doable

I also knew that if I didn't go I might never get another chance. Baby born in mid-August. I went part-time to start. I breastfed in class for three months, then found a nice surrogate grandma to watch her for three mornings a week while I was in class. Took the summer off, then went full time when she was a year old and could go to daycare.

I had my 5th child the semester before I entered the nursing program. He was born in March, and I entered the program in August - he was 5 months old. My husband works nights, so he watched (watches) the kids while I'm in class/clinical. I pumped all through my first two semesters. I found that my clinical instructors were great at helping me find a place to pump at clinical, and my theory instructors were understanding, too. This is a female-dominated field. We get motherhood. You just have to be good at time management!
