My first day of class is August 23rd and I'm terrified. Am I the only one?
I start Sept 7th and I'm excited and scared. Our nursing class is starting with 160 this semester and I do know a few of my classmates but a lot of my friends are doing part-time which is three nursing classes while I'm doing full-time which is five. I just really hope I can do this. Just being in the nursing lab room to do our bloodborne pathogens and safety class was making me anxious. I kept looking over at the sim in the bed LOL. I heard we're going to get an assignment before classes begin at orientation Sept 1st. Yikes!
I'm looking foward to meeting and hopefully studying with some smart, serious but friendly nursing pals because my non-nursing friends have become useless LOL. They don't understand how serious or difficult my schooling is about to get.
I'm in my 3rd yr, 6th semester out of 8. I can't beleive how quickly it has gone and I'll always remember my first day. It was so exciting, and every student was as anxious and nervous as I was.
I have an assignment due on the 23rd so I'll think of you starting your first day when I hand it in and try to suck in some of your excitement.
you guys...I am freaking out just reading about all your excitement/nervousness!!...and I haven't even taken the TEAS yet!! It is SUCH an exciting yet scary journey that we have chosen!!
The medical world is filled with nurses that began with these exact feelings, and they made it through. We will too!
Good luck to all of you!!!!!
I start on the 30th. I went through orientation on July 22 & 23. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. I have 3 kids full time and 1 every other weekend ages 13,12,8,6. And my husband child #5. Im worried that I wont have enough time in the day. I have already prepaird my family and kids that "mommy wont be able to do things with yall as much" and that "mommy will be in the bedroom studying and needs you to help around the house more". Our instructors told us to just eccept that our houses wont be as clean as we like and dinners may not always be the healthiest choices but we and our families will get through it.
I have 4 classes and 2 labs a week for a month in a half then we add in 2 clinical days.

Ugh, how am I going to be able to study all those classes and still find time to eat, sleep, shower and breathe...lol
I know I will because millions of nursing students before me have done it..

My classes start on August 25th, my orientation is the 23rd. I was nervous since I got my acceptance letter in July, but now I'm calmed down and just want to start! Probably won't feel this way come orientation, though! :)
