I totally get where it's coming from--especially the more I learn in school, but, yikes, it doesn't always sound as reassuring to the patient as it may to the nurse! :chuckle

Apr 30, 200521 yr "Do you have an advanced directive?""Are you passing gas yet?""When did you feed/change your baby last?""I don't know if your insurance will cover your trip to the ER.""I can't guarantee the MD on call will refill your prescription for______(usually a narcotic), since he doesn't know you or your health history." This is usually on calls made to the call center I work at on the weekends. Funny how everyone runs out of pain pills when their MD isn't on call!
