Hi All,

I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?

I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At orientation they gave us a single sheet of paper that says "Campus Network Access Information" at the top. This has your initial username and password. Go to http://www.ouhsc.edu and click on the mail link in the upper right corner. I think you first log in with the username and password on that paper and that it then prompts you to change the password. Hope that helps!

Now maybe someone can help me... Did you all get the email about attire? She says, "The uniform for all events that are off campus, unless informed otherwise, will be the OU polo shirt and khaki or black slacks with closed toed shoes, and name tag" and apologizes for the late notice. Now I'm confused about what to wear tomorrow. We're ON campus tomorrow and doing skills lab, so we should wear scrubs, right? But then why is the email "late notice"?

Auuuuuugh.... Good thing we know it'll settle down in a few weeks!

The email is referring to offsite meetings/ community hours, not skills lab - if you are in skills lab, wear scrubs. Some other semesters are meeting offsite this week, i think she's referring to us. Hope this helps.

I checked on friday and she confirmed that we wear scrubs on campus and community (ugh) polo off campus unless we are at a clinical in which case we wear "crimsons". so, i will be there tomorrow in solid colored scrubs. if i am the only - so be it!! i think we will feel a whole lot better going into the third week of school.... still trying to make heads or tails of angel. due dates would be a good thing!

In regards to Angel, you can click the calendar tab within each course and it will show when assignments are due. Only Course #3062 has nothing on the calendar but the rest do.

i just saw the email from professional nursing professor, that everything is due friday night at midnight. that helps. see you all tomorrow. good luck this semester!

Does anyone have their name tag yet...?

I got my nametag and the clip thing for ID with my uniform from ACE, but no photo/student ID yet.

I haven't gotten a name tag yet either. Where are we suppose to order them? When the uniform lady came to the school, I didn't hear her mention anything about ordering a name tag. Oh well. Does it suppose to be a certain color or style? Also name badge?

I got a call from Ace Uniforms sometime after the open house, saying she had forgotten to have everybody order the nametag and ID thing (maybe she called it a badge reel?) and that she was calling everyone to get their payment information for those two items. Maybe she forgot to call you...? I would talk to her, because I don't know how else you would get the items. They're pretty specific to the program. I guess you'll see them tomorrow... Good luck!

If you are on campus you are to wear scrubs. The email was for later semesters, we have a workshop off campus today and there was confusion as to what to wear. Good luck! :)
