Hi All,
I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?
I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nicole
Has anyone else NOT received the email to get into angel? I do not have any holds. This is so strange. I'm really frustrated because I can't reach anyone until tuesday when school starts. I feel like I'll already be behind. I only received the schedule and clinical groups email. Was there more emails sent out?

Have you checked your OUHSC email? That's where I got the Angel emails. You might be able to get into Angel by going to the site and using your OUHSC username as both your username and password for Angel (then change your password).
Hi,
About the Health Assessment Workbook - no, it is not in your book package. If you want it you will have to get it on your own. This book has practice exercises for health assessment that you will do as a group in class thus, if one person has it, you can photo-copy it (there is a photo copy machine that is free for our use on the 5th floor at Cabrillo, if we are still there). It is a useful book for studying for exams but not entirely necessary. The other books that you will need to buy is a pathophysiology book.
About Angel - last semester there were several people who had issues getting on to Angel. ------- is usually pretty good about sorting that stuff out. If not, see if you can get the assignments from someone else in the meantime but don't worry because I'm sure you are not the only one.
Don't worry, the first two weeks are pretty intense and confusing. You will get used to the disorganization of the program and get into the groove. It will all become second nature, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
