Opinions on Chamberlain College????

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

I already have my RN and plan on getting my BSN and am looking at online school to get it

can anyone tell me anything about the chamberlain college of nursing RN to BSN program?

tuition?

how it is?

if it's got good reputation from an employer standpoint?

thanks!

Looks like all the Chamberlain CCNE-accredited BSN programs are under a single listing. The Director of Licensing and Accreditation explained that the CCNE often posts a single listing where the head admistrator is based to make communications simpler. So all is well:

The Chamberlain RN-BSN Online Program is accredited by the CCNE. Its listed as Chamberlain College of Nursing, Columbus, OH.

Whew!

Thanks for the follow-up! :)

anyone taking NR 443, any hints on the research paper in the class

Hey guys, i'll b attending hondros school of nursing, and after my Rn, transferring over to chamberlain to get my bsn. I have only 12 credits from my previous institution before going to hondros, its almost as if im going straight out of high school. So if i want to get into the rn to bsn program at chamberlain, would there be any additional requirement? i mean i'll have my ADN from hondros when im done.

My ultimate goal is to go for crna, do you guys know of anyone that has graduated from chamberlain and got into a crna program?

thank you!!

If you want to know the requirements for Chanmberlain, then contact Chamberlain. You might find this information on their website.

I am starting with CHAMBERLAIN OCT 25. I am only allotted 5000.00 per year for tuition reimbursement so it will take me some time to complete the program. I will be 54 next month. I wish I knew of a way to find money or cheaply finance the rest of the courses. Any ideas?

Is anyone currently enrolled in chamberlains MSN program, particulary the RN-BSN - MSN bridge?

Hello, I have 3 classes left for the RN to BSN with Chamberlain. As another person posted that all the books are online at $60 a time, this is not correct. My class starts today, I ordered the x2 books from the school bookstore 2 weeks ago. today I am told that the books will not be available until the 3rd week of class. I contacted the instructor who told me there is no way to do the class without the books. I called Chamberlain and they suggest dropping the class but they will still charge near $500 for administrative costs, although it is by no fault of my own.

I suggest that you look up the school as to current class action lawsuits.

The early classes seemed OK, but Pretty much none of the credits earned at Chamberlain /Devry are transferable.

I enjoyed many of the classes but they will take you for all the monies that they can and you will be very frustrated with them. I suggest looking at Texas A&M out of El Paso, they have a great online RN to BSN.

Chamberlain was very successful for me. It was a way for me to earn a degree in a short amount of time to complete my career advancement goals. I learned so much from the material presented and the instructors. The program is expensive, but the amount of time to completer the program vs a traditional 2 yr completetion was worth the extra money. I used to rent my books online or purchase used books. Much cheaper than buying from the bookstore. I would also purchase the previous edition, there was not much difference in the material, just different pages. I know not everyone agrees with this, but these are the methods that worked for me. I hope you are able to complete your degree at Chamberlain with only 3 classes left to go.

Good Luck!

Olivia
