I got accepted to Chamberlain
Is it necessary to get the Leddy and Peppers book for the Transitions class? I start on Monday and would prefer to find a way NOT to purchase the book. All suggestions wanted.

What was the percentage rate on the card you used to pay for school? I get 5000.00 per year tuition reimbursement. At 53 (54 next month) I really want to get this BSN done as quickly as possible. All suggestions gladly received.

Has anyone else found this to be true?

Would you question this order?
I agree with te doctor. The patient has a tendency to clot. The dehydration is also adding to the elevated INR. If the patient is not actively bleeding , I agree. No anticoagulant. His order is reasonable. The INR will usually go up before it goes down. I would go along with the hospital policy though. If the patient is still clotting though, I hope a hematology consult was ordered. Or perhaps a hospice consult if the patient is end stage HIV

Opinions on Chamberlain College????
I am starting with CHAMBERLAIN OCT 25. I am only allotted 5000.00 per year for tuition reimbursement so it will take me some time to complete the program. I will be 54 next month. I wish I knew of a way to find money or cheaply finance the rest of the courses. Any ideas?

Congrats, Chamberlain RN-BSN Grads! :-)
A graduation rate is not a stat that I would look closely at unless you know all the variances. You may go to a school with a 90 percent grad rate but not finish due to your own life circumstances. Make a commitment and go for it

CRNA is a POST masters program. Call any of the programs you are condsidering for CRNA and ask if they accept certain programs.

I am soon to be 54 years old and have graduated from a diploma program in 1977. I took two courses at a comminity college in Chicago way back when. I enjoyed the conversation with my advisor but I feel the financial advisor Yasmin is a bit pushy. It is holiday time of year for me. I also work full time and am on call this week. I informed her that I would get the information in to the financial aide office soon and that if I didnt start a class in october then I would start in November. I told her since I have waited this long, six more weeks will not make a difference. She started talking about putting my application "on hold" etc. I told her that wasnt necessary but I was not going to feel rushed or pressured into filling out the papers. I just sent in my information for my transcripts to be obtained. My nursing school is closed now and has been for a few years. I dont want to send in paper work until I am sure about the program. Some of my coworkers are quite pleased with Chamberlain.

I am almost 54 years old and graduated from a diploma nursing program in 1977. I just enrolled in Chamberlain for the BSN program. I am considering getting an MSN eventually but still undecided about the RN-BSN/MSN bridge. Any inexpensive way to get books? Aside from employer reimbursements which in the end do not add up to a great deal, I want to keep the program as cost effective as possible. Any "older" applicants to the Chamberlain program?
