Capella flex path

Nursing Students Online Learning

Is anyone enrolled in the Capella RN to BSN flex path program? If so, how do you like it so far? I am in the traditional program, pulling A's and was recently inducted into the honor society; I am thinking of switching formats and I would love some feedback.

Hello and welcome to flexpath! Am in my second last course which has 6 assessments (papers and a powerpoint): BSN 4017-Collaborative Group Process Nursing. I hope to finish my degree next month. I will tell you that I have enjoyed the program very much! A lot of energy put into it and I believe my nursing experience helped me progress quickly in the program. Welcome again!

Oh MY odhiambokiki! You started in June 2016? That's fast! Awesome! Great to hear you enjoyed your classes. I am hoping to move through quickly also - would love to connect.

The flexpath program is going well so far. I was enrolled in 2 other online colleges and felt I was wasting my time on the discussion questions and the group projects. I was on my way to completing 3 classes in a 12 week period, but ran into a glitch, and I don't think I will meet that goal. I do work at least 50 hours a week and try to complete assessments before work and the weekend. I have been able to complete an assessment a week up until this glitch.

I am currently in the 4012 class and have to submit 3 outlines. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this class and if there were any suggestions on how to do the outlines. Thanks for any suggestions

Hello Vandeca RN. I finished my degree a week ago, waiting for my degree which should come in 4 weeks. My commencement is on the 10/11th of March 2017. Am very happy with this program! I would very highly recommend it to anyone looking to get a BSN degree online. I have no way to private message you Vandeca RN, but let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great Sunday!

I'm in the flex path program now. I was wondering if anyone had to take any general education classes? If so what were they like? I have to take two classes One is a leadership gender & communications class and the other is an ethics class. I was just curious if anyone had any idea how many assessments the general education classes had. Thanks - I hope I posted this right. This is my first time:-)

Welcome and you posted it right! Am sorry but I didn't take any generals so don't know. Good luck!

I had to take a humanities class, I picked Bio-Ethics, it's the same format as the nursing courses (papers), I didn't mind it, it was three assessments and dealt with some issues we deal with as nurses. Also an update on my progress, i'm in my 7th course (needed the 11 nursing and one ethics). So I'm only a few weeks behind on my goal of finishing in a year, hoping to make up a little time in the next couple of months.

As a side note, I JUST found out we get 168 hours of Smart Thinking tutoring free every 12 weeks! I'm just starting to use it.

They do convert into a GPA, I'm currently at a 4.0 GPA. If you get the maximum grade (Distinguished) it's converted to an A, next down (Proficient) is B, etc. You have three chances to improve your papers grade to get it to Distinguished.

Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of classes you can take per 12 weeks? Do they actually give a you a grade or is it pass/fail like WGU?

Thank you for all the information guys. You have been of great help

Thank you everyone; especially DeLynn . You have been of great help. I really appreciate your postings.

Hello DeLynn,

I have applied to Capella for the RN/BSN and I was concerned about the length of the papers, are we talking 5 page papers, or 20 page papers per assessment, aND is there help for those of us who are not familiar with APA format? Than you

The papers are generally three to five pages long, double spaced. I used Perrla for APA formatting it helped a lot, and of course the APA manual. And for the reference page I used Refworks to build my bibliography, it's a free program. I used Grammerly.com for grammer corrections. You also have access to free use of Smart thinking.
