One, you should never really be shocked that you weren't chosen for a position - you should realize that there are likely many, many other applicants who may have similar, if not more impressive, backgrounds and resumes than you. I've been disappointed that I haven't gotten positions, but never shocked as I know better than to assume I have a position until I've got a written/emailed offer letter. All of the things you described - tour of the unit, discussing hiring process, etc - are pretty typical of every interview I've been on. My advice is do some self reflection as to what you can improve on, both on your resume and your interview skills, and most importantly never stop job hunting and applying to other jobs until you receive an offer.
Thank you JadedCPN.
I did not know that it was typical for the applicants to be offered for the tour and etc... I thought it would not get offered unless applicants were close to get hired or so.
As you said on your comment, I will try my best to reflect on what I can work on for the next interview, then try to do my best . Thanks !
24 hours isn't enough time to know whether or not you got the job. A place I am interviewing with right now is known to take two to three months on average. That being said, as mentioned above, everything about the interview that you reported in your original post is absolutely standard and doesn't necessarily mean anything. You know you got the job when you get an offer in writing.

Recently I had a job interview with nurse manager & educator at the hospital. The interview went well (at least to me), they were very concrete about scheduling, the hiring process(background check, physical check, etc) and told me that one of them(nurse manager or educator) would contact me by end of the day. They even gave me the tour of the unit and explained the details on the unit... yet NO CALLS from them at all.
Its been over 24hrs and I feel so shocked that I was not chosen for the position. The position I applied was already seemed to be filled or whatever since I could not see it on the website anymore. How do you get over with it and move on?
