Hey guys! I am applying as well; the only one I have seen is St. Luke's. I have not seen the Memorial Hermann or Md Anderson residency programs.

I did see some openings at Texas Children's that did not require experience. You can see them if you search job openings. A lot of them are L&D or Antepartum/postpartum.

Thanks for the info on TCH, though Maternity is not exactly what I'm looking for. I called and emailed both Memorial Hermann and MD Anderson but have not received any information back yet. My gut feeling tells me that they will start accepting applications around the February/March area.

Hey, the Req # to search for the Graduate Nurse Residency at MD ANderson is 2610. You can search the number in Houston, TX and then should be able to apply. Hope that helps!

Just spoke with M.D. Anderson HR, the nurse residency is only for B.S.N. graduates. The only one I've found that accepts A.D.N. graduates is Memorial Hermann, Christus St. Catherine did, but it looks like their discontinuing their program.

I started applying for that job, but I believe it is for December 2011 grads. At the very end, one of the questions is "Do you have a current Texas RN license?" and the answer choices were Yes, No, or No, but will be eligible to receive my Texas RN license by 2/29/2012.

I also applied the Md Anderson residency program for the spring 2012. It is my dream to get into this program. I pray for it every day. Well, I do not have any nursing related experiences, such as CNA experiences. Just wondering do those nursing related experiences really count for consideration? Does anyone know if applications are selected, what unit or floor they are going to? Does anyone know who or what committe in charge of the residency program? Thank you so much!

Hi Newnurse88, Were you asked about your floor or unit preference when you applied for it? I was not asked for my preference. Or candidates will be asked after interview?

No, I don't work for healthsouth...I was just wondering cause I just graduated also (Dec 2011) and am trying to find someone...anyone to hire me lol. If you do not mind my asking, were you also a new grad, adn or bsn, and did you have any previous experience? Also how long did it take for you to hear from them?
