My all-time favorite 'prep' name, which I've only heard of once, in the 90's, when a friend had to take it, was 'Evacu-quick'. Kinda leaves nothing to the imagination...

Hah. Sups? My guy told me to buy a powder that had to be mixed in a ceramic mug as it created a thermal reaction and drink it. I should be able to drink it at work and enjoy my own porcelain throne.

Er, no. I drank the foul brew in my kitchen and within 20 minutes was cursing the GI, the scope, the thought of the scope, and hurting like the fire of hades. The explosive chain reaction continued throughout a very long night. My spouse can sleep through anything. The whimpering, the whining, the multiple flushes of the toilet. Let's leave it at, I knew my bowel was clean.

Joy and bliss, I'm due for a repeat performance at the end of the year.

We have (used to have) a prep called "Golightly." Seriously it is/was anything but.

Unless you had a marginal past study, or family history.....it is now recommend every 10 years

My paternal Grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 50, around 1950, had a colostomy, and lived to be about 93 years old. My Dad died of cancer at the age of 84. He refused to have a colonoscopy and his cancer probably metastasized from there to his liver, lungs and brain.

I had a non-invasive cancerous polyp removed from my colon in 2000. Back then, when I asked the oncologist the reason for my cancer, he said, "It's all genetics." At that time, I had forgotten that my Grandmother had had colon cancer and my Dad died another 13 years later.

So, I should stick to "The Five Year Plan"!
