:D I worked in a hospital clinic years ago, and grabbed the next patients chart to come back. I went out in the Lobby, looked at the name and said..."Holy Makeral"
Specializes in Emergency Room.

Had a patient with last name Tush.

Another with first name Rabbi. I think he was Indian, but he was used to getting a lot of comments!

Also had a Candida. The residents loved that one!

Specializes in Pediatrics, Home health.

I worked in a hospital where there was a Dr. Hooker Dr.Ho and Dr.Hor..it was hilarious when they needed consults from each other and you would hear over the intercom Hooker, Hor's on the phone. hahaha always made me smile

Specializes in Trauma Surgery, Nursing Management.

My dad had a student named Placenta. The mom heard this during delivery and thought that it was sooooo pretty! Yeah, Placenta Rivers will likely be in the nearest rehab facility.

I am sure you have all heard of the story of La-a. It is pronounced laDASHa. Yeah, you pronounce the dash. I am only hoping that this is an urban legend. If not, you can probably surmise that La-a and Placenta Rivers are roommates at the rehab facility.

I started to laugh when I saw the name Sarah Bellar on the census. Gotta love those parents!

I went to school with a kid named Gene. We called him Gene-O as a nickname. We were too young to understand the humor of the nickname: his last name was Tiphe.

The worst name I have ever seen (and I am serious as a hostage wanting to get home) is Happy Hussey. WHAT were her parents thinking?!!? Thankfully, she was a cute kid that had thick skin. Everyone loved her, and she was incredibly funny.

Yeah, I know Dr. Weiner, the urologist. And Dr. Hackman, the general surgeon.

Funny thread! Thanks for starting it, OP!

Sadly, I can HONESTLY say La-sha is NOT an urband legend. A girl here saw it online and named her daugther La-sha about a year ago. I work in registration and the mom had such an attitude everytime someone mis-pronounced the name. Damn, sorry! Lol.

I went to school with an Adam Adamson and a Jimmy James, yes, his first name was James...

We have a couple that come to our office, the husband is Andrew Shawn Smith, initials are A.S.S., his wife told me once that she was glad she had lost weight, but that she wished she hadn't lost that much in her behind because her husband was an a*s man... Who would have though it?

We had a lovely doc called Dr Kok. She was so lovely.

we have a cardiologist named peter marks lol.
