Hi Eveyone,
Tomorrow is Nursing Diagnosis Dress-up day and I am looking for any ideas. We can dress up as any Nursing Diagnosis that we want. I do have some crutches and a leg brace but that seems kind of easy. Any suggestions anyone?

I don't have any suggestions for you other than to be creative! We did this in Level I and it was really cool to see what people came up with! It was a lot of fun. Just pick a N Dx, look at the defining characteristics and go with it

this has been discussed before. see this previous thread: https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/nursing-diagnosis-dress-373430.html.
there is so much you can do for this. you need to look at the definitions and defining characteristics of the different diagnoses (that's the point of this fun day--to learn the signs and symptoms of the different diagnoses--each one has them). if you have your own copy of taber's cyclopedic medical dictionary you will find this information in the appendix. if not, about 80 of the most commonly used nursing diagnoses are listed on these two websites and the top of each page includes the defining characteristics:
have fun. my personal favorites would be acute confusion or dressing/grooming self-care deficit. you have to understand that in my early years i was very active in little theater and i love playing roles. you might also give anxiety or grieving a look. if you think you could keep doing a cough you could do ineffective airway cleareance.

what if you cut out a paper heart and tied a plastic pair of handcuffs around your wrist....cardiac arrest?
oops..sorry....missed the NURSING diagnosis part.
