I just got my e-mail!! They never did a credit check, but I got the finalist notification!! I'm a BSN student in Indiana -- I thought I had NO chance. Congratulations and good luck everyone!!

Congrats to You!!! I was pulling for you!

So are we considered first round mocapoca?

I also got an award notification! This is an answer to my prayers. I feel so blessed.

Congratulations to all the others who have also received notifications. So far, it seems like all of us whose credit was checked are receiving an award... Maybe over the next week or so, we will all receive a notification.

Congratulations to everyone who received the award!!!! I am starting to feel so anxious and nervous at this point. Like a knot in my stomach that won't bulge. I need this so bad and I tried not to get anxious about it but I can't help it. They checked my credit on the 28th. I am going to try hard to not think about it. I am so happy for everyone because I know you all need it just as much as I do.

Very nervous. Csn everyone who got an award letter tell us what there state is snd first letter of their last name? Thank you and congrats to everyone so far

I am interested in applying for this ward for the 2016-2017 cycle. Can anyone give me a sample of what the essay prompts are? /threadjack

Good luck to everyone!!

Hi Titus,

The essay prompts and other requirements are included in the program guidelines:

http://www.hrsa.gov/loanscholarships/scholarships/nursing/guidance.pdf

I also suggest that you review the scoring criteria that I posted earlier. The scoring website for reviewers is very detailed and will give you a clear picture of what they look for in applications. I used it as a guideline for mine.

Essays, Letters or Reccommendation, and a resume showing experience serving underserved communities are most important. Let me know if you have any other questions! You have one year to prepare!

BTW thanks for all the well wishes :) baby girl was born 8lbs 1oz this morning. She had some extra fluid in her lungs so she has been in the NICU for the day and will stay there over night but I will get to hold her for the first time in about an hour :)

As for the scholarship I still haven't heard anything yet. Get more discouraged by the day but holding out hope I know its still early

God bless! Sending well wishes and congrats!
