Probably a little off topic, BUT I start my first semester Aug. 25th and I still can't find a book bag big enough to carry all of my books. Can anyone help me? Please & thank you :)

We rarely used our books in class, and even if we did, you really only needed one book in your bag. I had a regular backpack and it suited me fine. The only time I needed more books with me was when I needed to study, in which case I stuffed what I could in my backpack and just carried the rest. This was usually at Starbucks, so the walk was short. If I was studying at the campus library, I limited my studying to one class at a time, so that I could limit what I carried.
I kept my books in my car for the most part.
I started Fundamentals last week. They tell us to bring our book with us, and a lot of times we do go through it, or use it. I also carry a binder which holds all of the stuff for the current section (sections are divided by exam), my planner pages, and any paper that needs to be turned in. I also carry a separate binder with the NCLEX test plan in it, and a separate "scribble" book for rough draft notes. The Fundamentals book is massive, so I got a rolling bag from Amazon. It is big enough for everything that I need to carry, plus water bottles, and snacks.

I chose to go with the crates as well. I got lucky and got all of my classes and labs on tuesday/thursday so I threw two crates in my trunk and my books for each day into both of them. I then got a copy of the aid bag that I used in the military from an Army surplus store since I know that they can take the abuse and offer good support so you don't tear up your back. Another plus is that nearly 90% (don't quote me on that I'm just spit-balling a number) of military styled bags have TONS of pockets/pouches, are lightweight, and have what's called a M.O.L.L.E system which allows you to add/remove lots of different pouches easily. I just go to my car between classes and swap out a binder and books in like 5 minutes and I plan on using the same bag for clinical as well. In short, find that system that accommodates your schedule the best.

I'm sure some of this is true with adults as well.

Find out if you need to bring your books to class before you go buy a big bag. I never had to bring my books once throughout my program.
