Nursing & Pre-Nursing Students Fall 2009!!!

just starting a thread for any nursing or pre-nursing students heading to class for the fall 2009 season!

hopefully this can be a place where we can all introduce ourselves as well as the school & program we'll be attending this year.

congratulations to all the prospective nurses out there! :yeah:

I have applied to UBC and BCIT, for Fall 2009 entry, really starting to feel the anxiety and wishing they would hurry up and let me know!

To all that have applied or been accepted--good luck and congratulations! Does anyone know what typical student equipment is going to be? We have to order a student kit...but it isn't itemized so I have no idea what will be in it.

I'm currently in George Brown doing pre-health science, and I'm interested in going straight to RN program. Thing is the colleges that's offering it directly, without going through the RPN-course, is outside Toronto. So I'm thinking of a plan to execute this.

I have applied to UBC, Douglas, BCIT and Kwantlen and I am just wanting.... the hardest part is this waiting game.

Hey guys, I just received my acceptance from the university of calgary. I am happy about this but am still hoping for a couple other schools to get back to me! :)

I just got an acceptance letter from a smaller technical college nearby for their CNA course. I think I'm going to take that, get some of my pre-reqs and then jump on into my BSN instead of going to the LPN program.

Hi, I finishing first year RPN and was accepting into the BScN program at McMaster University. I am new to this site, and am lovin' the idea of sharing knowledge & experience with other students. As well as some support. This is also my 2nd career, yet a long time in the waiting!!! Very exciting, exhausting and still can't believe it's happening! Good luck to all!

Hi everyone,

I am doing my pre-reqs right now and over the spring. I'm accepted on the waitlist for a program on Vancouver Island (if I meet my pre-reqs of course) but am also going to apply for a couple of competitive entry courses for Fall 2010. While waiting for my program to start I am going to spend 2009 taking 6 courses that are required for the BSc that I can take while not enrolled in the Nursing program. SO happy that I can lighten my nursing school load by that much seeing as I will be waiting around for that year anyways!

So in a way I will be pre-nursing during 2009! Good luck to all who are waiting on acceptance letters!
