Did any prenursing students receive acceptance letters from any of Chicago City Colleges yet? I have not receive mine and just trying to get an idea.
Thanks
anyone who gets a letter either way please post, I am going crazy waiting, I just called Daley college and I was told that they can't say when but that we will recieve a letter in the month of April. I have no idea why the big secret. What if for some reason the letter got lost wouldn't it be more helpful to know when it was going out to know if you missed it. It's so stressful waiting!
Did anyone get an acceptance/rejection letter from Truman yet? I got mine today and did not get in (have not taken enough classes, it seems). Last year's lowest ranking score was a 56 and I had a 60 (without the 5 extra for orientation). I have a great GPA, but not enough classes under my belt. Don't really want to wait another, long year. Hope you all got in....but please let me know. I guess it's a State secret, 'cos they won't tell me what the lowest was.
Good luck
I'm finishing A&P I and have 2 more classes (A&P II and Micro). If this helps you figure it out, I have all "A"s and one "B", in Math. Most of the people who got in had already taken A&P I and II and a lot had finished all the classes. I'm disappointed, but not shocked. I have been thinking of alternate plans--like volunteering in one of our local hospitals to get more experience and make connections with people in the field. I'm also an older student-change of career (but I started out in nursing many years ago and didn't finish). Best of luck, CareerChanger!!!!
:yeah:When I saw the envelope (white, simple) I thought I was going to be denied because I was expecting a big Yellow envelope if accepted, and I was preparing myself for that denial, but when I saw "congratulations it is my pleasure to inform you that your application.......has been accepted" I just jumped of joy!. I was denied two times in Daley before and I was getting frustraded, but I insisted and in the mean time I took all the prerequisites and I guess it count a lot. The first time I applied to Daley, I was not accepted for the same reason baila did not get in . I did not have many prereqs as the other students. But baila dont give up as I was told once "It is not your time". This time I not only applied to Daley(I should've applied to more than one college) but I also applied to Truman and Olive Harvey. Olive Harvey last year had only 100 applicants for 80 spots! if I would've known, I would probably by in nursing school by now! so this time I did not take chances! Daley is 10min away from my house but I hear so many good things about Truman instructors that I am glad I got accepted. My GPA(3.1) is not to good compared to some students, but I am done with everything A&P I and II and also micro! so I guess that helped me a lot. Congratulations to me and good luck to all of you!:dancgrp:

Baila I saw you are on line now. You say that Truman has a good nursing program?better than Daley? because I also applied to Daley, Truman and Olive Harvey. But I hear good things about Truman and not so good about Daley. Do you think Truman sent the letters out on Friday as you mentioned? or you think they were just trying to blow you off?
